The Summer that changed my life forever...

Dakota: "Fine. I guess we have nothing better to do since the plastic bag is gone," I said mock-sadly.

Gregory: "He is sad that you don't remember and that you look like you are in pain, and partly because he is angry with me for getting in that accident and causing this..." I said looking away, starting to get choked up.

Brok: I laughed. "Do you really love the plastic bag so much?"

Essy: I frowned. "I don't think it could have been your fault."

Dakota: "Yes." I sniffled. "It has a special place in my hear, poor little thing."

Brok: "We could go dig it out."

Dakota: I wrinkled my nose. "Ew, Brok, I was kidding."

Brok: I laughed. "I know. I was too."

Dakota: "Good." I laughed.

Brok: I threw the Frisbee at her. "Catch!"

Dakota: I caught it and tossed it back to him. "Geez, warn me next time."

Brok: I laughed. "But it's no fun if I warn you."

Dakota: I stuck my tongue out at him. "So you want me to get smacked in the face with it? OKay, fine."

Brok: I laughed. "I won't intentionally smack you in the face."

Dakota: "What. Ever." I rolled my eyes with a smile, drawing out the word.

Brok: I laughed. "You sounded really girly when you said that."

Gregory: "It was."

Essy: "Why would you say that?"

Dakota: "Are you saying I'm not girly? Are you calling me a man?" I made my eyes go wide and my jaw drop like I was insulted, though actually I took pride in not being a girly-girl.

Gregory: "Because I was not paying attention and didn't see the car coming right at your side until it was too late." I said and turned away, walking towards the window and tears started streaming down my face.

Brok: I shrugged. "I'm just not a girly-girl guy."

Essy: "The other car could have stopped."

Gregory: I spun around, tears still on my face. "But it didn't! This is all my fault!"

Dakota: "That's good, since I'm definitely not a girly-girl." I nodded once.

Essy: I shook my head. "I don't think so. I don't think you could have purposely hurt me."

Brok: I laughed. "Yeah, I can tell. You're more of a Sharpie-nail-polish girl."

Dakota: I laughed. "Exactly." My phone rang again, but this time it was my mom. "Okay, now this time I do have to go." I listened to my mom, but not my dad.

Brok: I sighed. "Seriously? Well, we have to meet up again tomorrow, okay? Are you working?"
