The Summer that changed my life forever...

Brok: My hair was soaked. This was amazing. I laughed as I threw another water balloon at her.

Dakota: I fell dramatically to the ground, even though I wasn't anywhere near hurt. "Brok! How could you?" I sniffled.

Brok: "You're hitting me too!" I reminded her, bouncing a balloon in my hand.

Dakota: "True." I popped up, tossing one at him.

Brok: "Yikes!" I exclaimed, ducking, but I still got hit. I threw one back at her.

Dakota: I grabbed a whole, big armful of them, then rapid-threw them at him.

Brok: "Hey!" I yelled, grabbing some balloons to block her with.

Dakota: I laughed as I was soaked by the balloons. We were running out too fast, oh no! But we still had some.

Brok: "Try and get me now!" I taunted, throwing some more.

Dakota: I rolled my eyes and threw some at him. "You're an easy target."

Brok: "In what way?" I teased, throwing a few more.

Dakota: I smirked. "Every way - just kidding." I threw another one, hard, at his shoulder.

Brok: I laughed but groaned when she hit my shoulder. "Hey!" I complained, grabbing one and throwing it at her ankle.

Dakota: "You're lucky I took off my heels!"

Brok: "It's against the rules to throw heels during a water balloon fight!"

Dakota: I smirked. "I hadn't thought of that." I cackled.

Brok: "Then why am I lucky you're not wearing heels?"

Dakota: "Because I would have fallen since you hit my ankle, and I would have sued, and you would have gone to jail, and rotted away," I decided.

Brok: I laughed. "Fine," I said. "But I would have found a way to make it all better." All the balloons were gone. Darn. But that meant I could make a move now.

Dakota: "Yeah? Like how?" I twirled my hair into one twist, then squeezed water from it.

Brok: I wrapped my arms around her waist and leaned in so our faces were really close. This was when I was glad I was short. "Have you guessed yet?"

Dakota: My heart sped up, but I didn't let it show. I raised my eyebrows and smirked. "I'd rather just be shown than have to guess."

Brok: I smiled. "Then I'll show you," I whispered, closing the distance between us and pressing my lips softly against hers.

Dakota: Butterflies filled my stomach. I kissed him back, a happy warmth spreading over me.

Brok: She was so much better than Fiona at kissing. This was amazing. How could I have waited so long to kiss her? I deepened the kiss, smiling to myself as she kissed me back.
