I squeeze my eyes shut as the pain floats away, the cool water relieving me. I still don't move, but feel it all ebb away. I bring myself up and the itch returns, along with the after burn of the ant bites. Nothing I can't take.
"I-I'm fine. I couldn't see if they were poisonous, but I think it was just fire ants," I say, sounding a lot stronger than I feel.
Looking over, I see two tributes fussing over the loss of an ally he just killed. Good time to get them.
"I think I better sit down, though . . . I'm really dizzy."

Conor:
"Look, I'm staying here to watch you in your state your an easy target even for someone from 12, it wouldnt do to have my ally die so early in the games" I said, "it would be an embarresment to 1" then a thought pops into my head, a way to maybe get some save for this rash and some new clothes, "and, I kind of like you"

What? Idiot. He cannot like me. . .
And then it hits me. I see what he's doing. Playing us for the sponsors we're in dire need of right now. Sure, it's a repeat from Katniss and Peeta, but the crowds ate it up with hunger for more. As long as we don't break the rules, Snow will stay happy with it as well.
"Well, that's weird. I'm all orange and you like me?" I giggle, but my eyes say, I know the plan.

Nikkie: I took a step back from the guy with the huge hammer, almost crashing into a tree. I hadn't expected to run into people! Well, I had, but I had no idea how to actually deal with them! "Um...I-I'm Nikkie," I said. "H-Hi?"

Alex: Without thinking, I grabbed the girl's hand. I wouldn't normally, but circumstances weren't exactly normal right now. I wasn't going to just leave this girl here to fend for herself. Besides, I didn't have the best sense of direction, so maybe she would be able to help me--us--find the lake. I was still getting used to the idea of having another person to take care of.

::Desmonda::
The ground was splitting under us. Rocks cackled and cracked under even my weight. Delicate as soft chocolate, but more solid.
My face expressed my fear. We needed to run.
Thirty seconds? We would not make this. No . . .
"P-Please help!"

Riku:
"I need an alliance, you in? I'm a career from 2 this is the one offer you'll get from me" I say looking at the girl hammer over my shoulder.

Conor:
"Well yeah, I was scared when I heard you scream I thought I had lost you" I say smiling sweetly i could tell the crowd would be eating this sappy stuff up.

Alex: I tightened my grip on the girl's hand. I was not going to allow her to be "cloaked." Without thinking, I blindly ran through the trees. For a moment, I thought there was no sign of water anywhere, but then I saw the huge lake in front of us. Water! Lake! That meant we could survive! But how long did we have left?

Nikkie: I hesitated, looking at the slightly intimidating boy and considering my options. If I said no, he'd probably kill me, and getting hit by that hammer didn't look like the way to go. Reluctantly, I said, "Yeah, I'm in. I'm from District 8, by the way. My name is Nikkie."

::Flay::
"Don't stress over that stuff. You shouldn't get attached to me, because you're killing me in the end, you know. There's no way I'd do that after you saved me from hell," I laugh casually, as if I don't have a care in the world, as if I don't feel like I'm covered in itching bugs still.
Of course I'd kill him in the end. In a heartbeat. He knows it, and he'd do the same to me. The crowd doesn't know that.

::Desmonda::
I kept my eyes closed the entire time. I had no idea where we were. It did not matter, I was going to die.
"Fifteen seconds remain," a voice informed.
We were dead. But I had to open my eyes . . .
The lake! There it was! Water and others and . . .
And all I could see was death before my eyes. These tributes would kill us, but we had to wait for further instructions, right?

Alex: I finally managed to drag us over to the lake, which was really large. We were at least fifty feet away from anyone else, which was a relief. I let go of the girl's hand, realizing then that I didn't know her name. But there was something else I needed to ask first. "Are you okay?"

Conor:
I nod, "For now, lets make sure we live long enough to make that choice" I say standing next to her my blade out, I look at the sky and smile to see a parachute headed for us. It lands and i open the bottle attached to it, I put some on my fingers, it soothed the itching. "Don't move" i say and I rub the lotion on my arms and legs and all over my body than do the same to Flay. While I'm doing that I say, "I'm Conor by the way"

Riku:
"I'm Riku, I'm not taking any chances right now, we are going to let the 1s handle the other tributes then if you survive long enough we'll take them and see what happens from there" I say to her hammer across my back again.

Nikkie: I nodded. "Sounds like a good idea," I said. "So should we duck so we're harder to see?"

(I know it's a bit on the short side but it was longer than one line when I typed it :/)

Alita: "What are you good for?" I scanned him, not in a flirty way but to size him up. Did he have a special skill? My fingers tightened around my bow, still on guard.

Luke: "What am I good for?" I laughed. "Would you like me to be subtle about it, or would you rather I brought the hammer down and said everything as it is?" I raised an eyebrow, flashing my best smile at her. It was irresistible on most girls. I'd have to see if she was one of them or not.

Alita: "Short, sweet, and to the point. Name your skill." He seemed to be wandering around, a sitting duck. Good for nothing. I could use him to set a trap later, or let him be killed instead of me.

Luke: I smirked. "Well, I can talk my way out of almost anything. I'm good at getting what I want. I can charm most people without them realizing it, but I also know that not everyone can be trusted and that they don't really trust me, so I watch my back." I raised an eyebrow. "You're probably plotting against me right now."

Alita: I licked my lips thoughtfully, my eyes narrowed for a moment as I studied his face. "Lucky guess. I think that you just may be good enough to be my ally."

Luke: I smirked. "Some of it is intuition too, you know." I raised an eyebrow. "I'm glad to hear that. So, what should we do now?" I asked, running a hand through my hair.

Alita: I would have said we should shake on it, but I had no intention of being much of an ally to him. He'd be killed soon. "We have a water source, and I have a weapon. You should find one, then we need shelter and food."
