What Is Left After?

Joseph: I took the wood from her. "And this is my job," I say, making a fire.

Wayne: I laughed and wrapped my arms around her. "Better?"

Aimery: I bite my lip, leaning closer to him. "If I lied, would you believe me?"

Roxanne: I arched an eyebrow, but didn't remark on that like I wanted to. I started to prepare the food, not going to just sit around and do nothing.

Joseph: When I was done, I came up behind her, putting my arms around her neck. "This feels like we're a married couple. Let's do something a married couple wouldn't do."

Wayne: "How about you just don't lie?"

Aimery: I start to shiver. "Then I'm cold as fuck. But it still feels good," I say, moving closer.

Wayne: I laughed. "Okay, I lied. It's a little cold. But at least you feel a little cleaner now, right?"

Roxanne: I smirked, and inquired, glancing over my shoulder at him, "And what would that be?"

Aimery: I laugh. "I'll always feel dirty, Wayne." I smile up at him. "Always.

Joseph: I kiss her lightly. "Guess."

Roxanne: I turned so I was facing him, "That doesn't exactly help, y'know." I said in a slightly softer tone of voice.

Joseph: I smile. "That's what it's supposed to do -- distract you."

Roxanne: I laughed a tiny bit dryly, "Funny." I then kissed him as lightly as he did before. "Now what will you do?" I asked with a faint smile, deciding to humor him a bit.

Joseph: I pulled her up gently, kissing her. "That."

Roxanne: "That I don't mind." I commented softly, wrapping my arms loosely around his neck.

"It's why I'm coping with this mess," I explain. "I don't think it's just a promise that He won't ever flood the world again. I think it's also a promise that we'll never have more to deal with than we can handle."

Joseph: I chuckle. "It wasn't like you could resist all of this," I murmur jokingly.

Roxanne: "Hm..." I tilted my head as I looked at him, and then smirked, although I answered half-jokingly, "I think you might be right about that."

Joseph: I kiss her softly. "Might?"

Roxanne: I smiled almost sheepishly, "Nope, you are right." I clarified after pretending to think about it for a second.

Joseph: I grin, pulling away. "Hm, we wouldn't want you to starve, huh?"

Roxanne: I shrugged, "Unless you're sadistic, or I'm masochistic, no." I glanced at him with a faint grin as I joked, "At least I know that the last part isn't true, and I hope the first isn't...but I don't know you too well..." I trailed off, feigning uncertainty. "But, yeah. We wouldn't." I concluded with a smile.

Wayne: I laughed. "Is there any other way to feel?"

Jelsa: I nodded. "Yeah. But I thought that meant he might end up destroying the earth with fire instead..."

I chuckle. "I see what you mean, but I don't think God is like that."

Joseph: I laugh, pulling her close. "I don't think I could ever hurt you," I murmur.
