The Party Chat

I sighed.
"Mortals. Silly, silly mortals."

Serina: "What did you just call me?"

"What you are," I answered simply. "A mortal. You know...as in, one who is not immortal."

Serina: "Well, it's not my fault!"

"No, it certainly isn't," I agreed. "And I never said it was a bad thing. It was just a truthful statement, that's all."

Serina: "Well...LET ME OUT!"

"Are you afraid of me?" asked Ezra. "Of what I can do?"

Serina: "I JUST WANT OUT!"

"Why?!" asked Ezra, his voice rising in anger. "Because you're afraid of me because I'm different?! Because what you're hearing can't possibly be real in your world?!"

Serina: "BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE THE DARK!"

"Oh," said Ezra. He snapped his fingers and the lights reilluminated.

Serina: I sighed. "Whoa. They're back?"

"Yup," said Ezra.

Serina: "...awesome..."

"You don't dound to excited...I'm just glad you're not afraid." said Ezra. He suddenly remembered Demetrius was here. "I told you to leave now. Get out."

Serina: I frowned. "What?"

"About Demetrius leaving or being afraid?" asked Ezra confused.

Serina: "Huh?"

"Now I'm confused..."

"Ezra told the other mortal to gee-tee-eff-oh," I answered with a shrug. "Only the other mortal wasn't going. That clear things up?"

"Oh I won't be leaving quite yet." laughed Demetrius wickedly.


"You won't be touching her," said Ezra, standing infront of Liz.

"Suit yourself," I said to Demetrius with a shrug, "...mortal." Then I turned to the girl who was afraid of the dark. "See, that time I meant it as an insult."

"I'm not like those fools," shot Demetrius.

"Then you mean you aren't a mortal?" I asked him curiously.

"Oh I am..I'm like him though."

"You are nothing like me!" said Ezra, the thought of him being like Demetrius scared him.
