Angela: I smiled a little then felt fear find its way into my mind. How long could this little piece of hope last? An hour, a few minutes? I had felt it so many times before only to find it crushed into tiny, unrecoverable, pieces. I'm afraid that if that happens again I won't be able to pick myself back up. Tears fall down my cheeks as I admit it to myself, I'm almost broken. Any bit of sprirt I had when I came here has been torn away by the brutality of my new life. No, I thought finally, If the chance comes I won't just stand to the side and let my life be decided for me. I will fight.
I smiled and straightend up a little. Let him come, I'm ready.
