Brok: I shook my head. "Different subject."

Dakota: "No, same subject."

Brok: "Come on, Kota..."

Dakota: "No. Tell me or...I won't hang out with you tomorrow."

Brok: "What? Kota!" I complained, frowning at her.

Dakota: "I want to know why you thought that," I said stubbornly.

Dakota: "Explain."

Brok: "I just...I don't know why you bother being with an idiot like me sometimes."

Dakota: I frowned. "You're not an idiot."

Brok: "Really? I think we both know I am."

Brok: I smiled and leaned in to kiss her.
