Daggerhorn..

Artemis opened her eyes, taking in his lovely features. they were so close their breaths mingled. Forgetting herself she stood up on her toes and strained toward him
"Artemis!" A deep voice boom.
She froze- her father

James: I froze and looked up to see her father stalking towards us. Instinctively I moved Artemis behind me, my arms still wrapped tight around her. I'm sure the large gash and apparent bandages didn't help my situtation any.

Megan: The music stopped and I turned to see Artemis's father. I stood there in horror wondering what I should do.

"You slum" he spit at James. "Unhand my daughter, I won't have for you enchanting her with your spells and defiling her. " he moved in to grab the unwilling Artemis, she gripped James tightly, unsure to whom her loyalties lied

Megan: I went behind James and watched. I needed to do something and fast but what. "Why are you here?" I asked slowly to her father.

He spat at the girl as well as he reconized her as a village girl dressed as a gypsie "I have come to take back my daught before her honor is destroy by you filth[b]"

Megan: I stepped up to him. "You will not take her away!" I said agnerly.

"I can and i shall" he gripped artemis's arm tightly and pull her out of James's arms, ignoring her cry of pain

James: I didn't even flinch. It was obvious that those words, and those actions had been said to me more times than I could count. I crumpled to the ground when he ripped her away. She had been holding to me tightly enough that it jolted my own body and sent pain cascading through my chest, blood starting to seep through the bandages, my eyes blinded from the pain. "Artemis," I muttered, wincing, my hand outstreached, my vision fading until I passed out.

"James!" Artemis screamed, struggling against her father as he led her out of the village muttering about curses and exorcists.
She was locked firmly in her room, the only company she received was that of the doctor who came in to tend to her wound which opened back up due to her struggles to remain with james. it stung but she didn't care, it was nothing compared to the pain of the knowledge that her fun was over. She'd never see him again

James had been moved to his tent, his wounds tended to, but stayed unconcious.

Henry: I had watched the scene infront of me unfold, and my own heart sunk slightly. Just another manifestation that there was no such thing as love. It could never exist. Especially between a gypsy, my eyes wandered to megan, and a villiger.

Days passed into weeks and Artemis felt dead inside. Her father made sure he had 'cured her' of the gypsie enchantment, and her lack of empathy was just a sign God had reach her after all and made her the obedient child she should be.
She stopped resisting her fathers will, what was the point? With out James, she had no life

Megan: I went to the river and started to cry. I could have stopped him. I could have stopped him.

Sariah: I continued to visit Lark as the days passed, unable to keep myself from finding, or in some cases breaking, things for him to fix so I had to keep going back to see him. Pathetic, I know.

James: It was late, darkness starting to fall. I left the camp and headed into town and found Artemis's house and sat beneath her window sill, hiding in the bushes. I couldn't let her go. My wounds were mostly healed, the gash on my cheek was now a deep pink mark. The ones of my chest and shoulders would still take time to heal though. I tossed a pebble at her window and waited to see what would happen.

Henry:I saw Megan by the river and sighed and went over and sat beside her. "Is everything ok?"

Artemis was asleep when a small clink filled her room, she stirred, trying to find the source. The clink happened again and she walked to the window, looking out in confusion

James: I poked my head out of the bush and looked up at her and smiled. "Hey." I said, making sure to keep my voice quiet.

Megan: I shook my head as the tears fell down. "I could have stopped him from taking Artemis." I said slowly.

Artemis quietly opened the window, happiness finding its way into her eyes for the first time in a while "hey" she whispered, leaning out

Henry: I hestitanly put my arm around her shoulder and brought her closer to me. "it was out of your hands." I muttered.

James: I stood up and went to her window and smiled widely. "feel like a midnight walk?" I asked raising my brow at her.

Megan: I shook my head. "Her father and her mother know my mother and... its a big mess." I said as I laid my head down on his sholder.

Artemis looked down at her sheer night gown "one sec" She ran and slipped on an overcoat then went back and struggled to slip out the window. It wasn't so easy in a dress

James: I caught her easily and set her down on the ground and as soon as her feet touched, I kissed her getnly, then took her hand and snuck her away from the house and out of town.

Henry: i was a little taken back by her laying on my shoulder, but i didn't move. "You can't fix everything though. I-it will all work out. It always does." The words tasted wrong on my lips because I honestly didn't believe them. But if they comforted her, then I guess I could say them, perhaps believe them for a momemnt.

Artemis's eyes widened at his kiss and she allowed him to pull her out and away form the village, slightly dazed

James: As soon as we were out of sight, I gathered her into my arms and held her. No words were said, I just..held her.

Artemis sunk into his embrace and buried her face softly in his chest "I thought I'd never see you again" she whispered, her voice pained
