Josie continues sleeping peacefully.

Lark paused in the path to kiss her better and hold her tighter as she moved closer. Then continued on the way to her tent.

Sariah kissed along his neck as he walked, and laid her head on his shoulder contentedly. "Don't leave me." She murmered.

Lark felt a thrill of happiness at the words, "Never." He reached her tent and stepped inside.

Artemis glanced up at him. Wonderful as long as you're around. "Adventurous" she grinned

Sariah smiled and then realized they were in her tent and her smile quickly fell into a pout like frown as she realized he would probably have to leave as soon as he set her down.

James chuckled. "Yes, I guess you could say that it is."

Lark sat her down on her bed and hesitated, "Do you want me to leave?"

Sariah stopped and looked at him, biting the corner of her lip. "Honestly?" She asked, watching him. "No, I don't want you to go."

Lark smiled and sat on the ground next to her bed. Crossing his feet he looked up at her, "Alright, I won't."

Sariah blushed but smiled widely and giggled softly. Her eyes sparkled brightly as she watched him. "You're just going to sit on the ground?"

Artemis smiled and leaned into him, "What will the others say about you and me? they won't object?" she asked anxiously

Lark smiled and chuckled a little. "Yep, I don't think James would appreciate it if I sat in the bed with you. So I should probably stay down here."

James looked at her curiously. "what do you mean? There is nothing to object to." He said watching her. "It's you, and me. No one else matters."

Sariah rolled her eyes and sat on the ground next to him. "I don't think he would mind to much....just as long as you didn't up and leave me." She shrugged. "James is actually pretty easy going and tries not to tell people how to live their life."

Lark grinned, "Alright." He picked her back up and sat her on the bed. Placeing himself next to her he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and relaxed against the end of the bed.

Artemis raised an eyebrow "really?" She frowned, in her village, everyone has a say in wether or not a couple can be together. "things are much simpler for you guys, huh?"

Sariah smiled widely and cuddled him. "Lark? Why did you risk everything to help us?"

James chuckled and nodded. "As long as you aren't stealing another mans wife, or another woman's husband, then there isn't much people can say. If they could, it wouldn't matter anyway."

Lark thought about it for awhile before answering. "I didn't want you to get hurt. The best way to protect you was to protect your people. Besides, I never really belonged in the village anyway. I was found wondering the edge near the woods when I was a child. Master Johns took me in and when I was old enough he trained me to be a blacksmith. The only thing that really kept me there after he died was Josie." He leaned down and kissed the top of her head.

Artemis nodded then looked down at crinkled her nose. She was a mess. Her sheer night gown was torn and bloody. Her parents would have a conniption if they saw her right now

Sariah sat there curiously, thinking. "Why were you wondering the edge of the woods?"

James chuckled, "Would you like some knew clothes?"

Lark frowned slightly, "Honestly? I don't remember, I was young about five, and almost traumatized. I was told that my clothes were bloody, although there wasn't a single cut on me. They figured something got my parents but left me behind. "
