Josie: I managed to wipe away my tears and looked to Sam with pleading eyes. "They'll kill him Sam! Lark helped you guys and -," I broke off with another heart wrenching sob.

Bah. i guess I will...

Henry sighed and watched her. "And those other men were other people's brothers and husbands or going to be husbands." He took a deep breath. "Be happy you are safe, and you can mourn, but don't take it out on me." He stood and began to walk away.

Sam winced and held her tight. "I'm so sorry." Sariah's head shot up as she heard this and she stood and started to run back to town. She was dressed like a normal person, so no one would suspect her.

Artemis stared up at him, her eyes wide "wha-what?"
Did she just hear him correctly? She hoped so

Megan: "Wait.. Im sorry... I was scared for you." I said in a whisper. I came up behind him and laid my hand on his back.

Henry stopped but didn't look back at her. "What do you mean?"

James stared deep into her eyes. "Marry me Artemis."

Josie: I started to feel dizzy, I blinked back more tears and fainted.

Lark: I sat in the cell my eyes closed and my knees under my chin. An hour. I had an hour before I would be stoned.

Megan: I looked into his warm eyes. "I wanted to fight beside you to keep you from getting hurt." I said quietly my hand on his chest.

Artemis couldn't speak, her happiness took away her thoughts. Instead, she placed her lips over his and let them do a totally different type of talking

Henry frowned. "i was trying to keep you from getting hurt."

Sam looked at her shocked, still holding onto her, and looked around not sure what to do.

Sariah found her way to the prison, doing her best to get her breathing under control before she went in. "I'd like to see the prisoner, Lark, please." She said quietly. The gaurd nodded and took her back and let her into the cell. As soon as she was through the door she ran up to him, throwing her arms around his neck, collapsing on the ground beside him tearing.

James smiled widely. "That's what I wanted to hear." he murmered.

Megan: I smiled "You were?" I said

Artemis smiled, pulling away and settling into his arms "Are you okay?" she repeated, determined to get an answer

James sighed "I've seen better days I guess." He was sort of covered in blood with gashes everywhere.....but in his eyes he was totally fine because he had Artemis with him.

Henry looked at her exasperated. "Of course! why do you think I kept making you get out of the way?!"

Lark: I stared at Sariah shocked, "What are you doing here? If they find out you'll be killed!"

Megan: I smiled and I got closer. "Im glad you did that..." I said softly.

Henry stared at her, not exactly sure what to make of her. First she was balling and blaming him, then she was yelling at him for making her get out of the way, now she was saying she was glad? Girls are so confusing.

Sariah kissed him before he could get the rest of what he was saying out, waiting for the gauard to leave before she pulled away. "shh. You'll get us both in trouble." she muttered trying to catch her breath.

Artemis pulled him up, ignoring the pinching of her corset as she bent over. "lets go get you cleaned up" she sighed

James sat quietly, a doofy, lopsided, happy grin on his face as he watched her, his eyes never leaving her.

Lark: I nodded still shocked she was here, there was only one way...."Josie found you?" Only then did it register that she kissed me. I stared at her, before leaning forward and kissing her back. *@&$ the rules. He didn't care.

Sariah sat there a little shocked as he kissed her back, her body relaxing and melting against him as she kissed him. It took all her resolve to pull away. "Yes, she's with Sam." she said breathlessly. "We have to get you out of here."

Artemis shook her head in amusement "come on! you need to get cleaned up!" she tugged on his arm

Lark: I nodded, "How?"

"distraciton." Sariah said simply. "As soon as I distract him, run." She whispered and kissed him again before standing and going to the door. "I'm done." She said quietly to the gaurd.

James sighed and got up and followed her.

Lark: I watched her carefully, waiting for the moment.

Josie: Still out cold.

The gaurd came over and let her out, before he could close the door, she kissed him. The man lost all resolve as she moved him away from the cell door and glanced at Lark, hoping he'd run, and soon. The man's breath was rancid and she felt guilty already.
