Reverse Psychology

Spades
I stayed silent, climbing on my motorcycle and waiting for her to get on. My mind, of course, went back to what had happened. The feelings were gone, but I could remember them. They weren't something I recognized though.

Drew laughed as she growled at him. "So, we gonna do this or not? because honestly, i dont care. If you wanna fight we can fight. Right now, right here." His eyes glowed with anticipation.

Inque
I climb on behind her, looking over at her absent minded look with a slight frown as i hook my arms around her waist.

Wolf
'Doesn't seem like you're offering much choice anyway, with that look. I turn away you'll just hit me anyway,' I send suspiciously. My growl grows in strength slightly, though my wolf was enjoying the moment as well.

"I wouldnt never hit an oponite who's back was to me!" Drew gasped, mock shame on his face. That was a lie. He didnt care if they were ready or not most of the time.

Spades
"Hold on tight, kiddo" I muttered as we set off, winding through the traffic as we made our way to the mountain. It took a few minutes, and I was lost in thought. When we finally made it, I saw Deacon messing with something in the garage

Wolf
I growl again, let my wolf take me. She stalks him in a slow circle. Always unpredictable, no one can know when I'll attack.

Inque
I get off silently, looking over at Deacon.

Drew stood still as she circled him, his pole ready in his hand. This was going to be an interesting fight, he could already tell.

Spades
Deacon gives a slight wave over, wiping car grease off his hands with a dirty rag. Let's just hope he doesn't break another car... he really wasn't the machanic he thought he was. I waved back before walking inside, my thoughts still elsewhere

Inque
I pause a moment. Still not really sure of my place here, nor of their trust in me. I simply follow spades slowly, so if either of them need me they can just say so.

Wolf
I growl, and dash forwards suddenly. To the left to avoid the pole and quickly back at him, all teeth and claw.

Drew nimbly rolled out of her way. Her claws scraped his arm but he just chuckled at it heal easily. He spun the rod in his hand again and turned to her.

Wolf
I bare my teeth at him, my scruff rising down my back. Standing my ground to see what he does a moment. Even instinct wasn't stupid. The wolf could see this as an unfair fight.

Drew charged at the wolf and used the rod to knock her off her feet. His movements were quick, and for the most part unpredictable. He slid to a stop and turned back around to her.

(Grr...drewy dont hit a girl! *smacks him*
Drew: This isnt me though!)

Insane!Peter
I stared at the fire... Fire was...so preeetty... And the smell... Hehe! Diviiiine... The crackle. The crackle was a song. But...it wasn't loud enough. Stuff didn't really make noise when you burned it... Well, some stuff did, but it didn't usually...
OOH. You know what make greeeeeat sounds when you burn them?
PEOPLE.

Riddle kept on walking through the city, indifferent as to whether she was being followed or not anymore. She smelled something...Something Burning? Hmm. She was tempted to go see. But, again, this would be interfering with her one day off. She decided the day was practically shot anyway...and she was already going to have to go see a tailor about the stab holes in her clothes. Why not indulge?
She went in search of the smell.

Insane!Peter
Sounds. Footsteps. People footsteps... I looked away from my fire...fiiiiiiire...to see a strange-looking lady.
"Who're you?" I asked.
Come cloooser... I want to hear the funny noises...

"Riddle. I could ask you the same question. But...I'm going to ask a better one. Why is that on fire?" She asked looking at the fire. Purely scientific curiosity. She at this point had completely forgotten the job interview she had set up. Well, not completely forgotten, but moved it down on her list of things with relative importance.

Insane!Peter
"'Cause I set it on fire," I answered, returning my attention to the glowing flames...flaaames...
I stuck my hand directly in the fire, moving it around to make the fire dance. I raised my hand, and the fire raised with it. I looove...fire... It's so kind...not like people. People are mean...bad... They're afraid of fire... They scream when they touch it...
Why do they scream? Fire doesn't hurt... Fire is...so nice...

"Oh. Any particular reason why? Or was it just...an impulse?" She asked calmly, unfazed by his hand in the fire. Sure, people didn't normally do that sort of thing, but...People also didn't typically walk away from a multiple stabbing complaining about their drycleaning. She had no reason to judge him based on percieved differences.

Insane!Peter
"I like fire," I stated simply.
I drew my hand out, using both hands to manipulate the fire into different shapes. I made it swirl, made it leap... People don't appreciate fire enough...

"Fire is nice." Riddle concurred calmly. She watched him play with the fire. "Is there a trick to that, or are you just...slowly burning your hands away?" She asked. Even though she saw that he wasn't actually burning, she had to have a second option to make the sentence make sense.

Insane!Peter
"I don't burn," I told her.
I didn't have to touch the fire to make it dance, though... I raised an arm, and the fire reached up as well. I moved my arm to the side, and the fire followed. Always parallel... It always followed me... Fire and I were goood frieeeends...

"That's...Neat." She concluded ineloquently. It was neat. She had not had enough time to prepare a statement that did not include the word 'neat' though, and this upset her. "So...Any particular reason you set the fire, or was it just...'I like fire' which led to 'There should be fire' which led to 'fire'? I mean...What was your internal logic which led you to place it here?" She asked, trying to reframe the question in am more readily interpretable way.

Insane!Peter
"'I like fire,'" I began, "'There should be fire,' 'fire.'"
Simple and perfect...just like fire.

"Hmm. Ok. Interesting." Riddle mulled that over. She really didn't know what to make of it. "And...do you make a living as a professional arsonist, or is this just a hobby?" She asked, simply trying to get him to speak a bit more. Maybe articulate. She hadn't even had the thought that she could be talking to a crazy person.
