G didn't sound like G? This was going to get confusing again fast. He could feel it. "Does it always do that? Or...Just this one time? How do I know?" T.Mor asked feeling somewhat betrayed by the letter G.

Tyson: I smiled and started drinking. "Thanks, Nat." I looked around. "Nice place."

"No, there are times when it doesn't do that," Mrs. Mullen answered his question. "But why don't we cross that bridge when we get to it?"

Nat smiled. "You're welcome," she said and looked around with him. "Thanks."

Tyson: "Who else lives here with you?"

"My mom, but she works all the time." Nat replied, sitting back.

"Oh...Ok. Can we do another one?" T.Mor liked learning this. He liked the idea of being able to read like everyone else. Sure, the letters might not sound the same all the time, but...He would manage.

Tyson: "Oh," I said. "Where does she work?" And what happened to her dad?

Nat looked over at the Rembrandt hanging on the wall behind Tyson and smiled. "She's an art curator at the museum."

Tyson: "Really?" I asked. "I'm horrible at art-related stuff. Are you into it?"

Nat smiled with a gleam in her eye. "Yes, I love art and things related to it. I also love historical things." She replied and looked over at an emerald from a Pharaoh's tomb.

Tyson: "History is so fascinating." I grinned. "What else do you have here?"

Nat smiled. "Do you want to see our collections of art and historical pieces?"

Tyson: I grinned. "Sounds like a good idea."

Nat smiled and took his hand, leading him to a spare bedroom that was dedicated to being their own personal museum. She walked over to the east side. "This is a Rembrandt," She pointed to the piece in front of them and then to an historical artifact from Egypt, "and this is a precious jewel from Egypt when we visited."
Nat heard the loft door open and close and knew by the foot steps that it was her cousin, Jude. She turned and smiled at him as Tyson looked around.

Mrs. Mullen held up a card that said 'YES.'

(firs three-letter word to come to mind)

(wait so her cousin lives there too?)

"Erm....Y...E...S. Ok..." He said, Identifying the letters on his sheet as well. "Y...YE. YE...S." T.Mor mulled it over. S, he suppoused could always sound like itself. "y-ees? Oh. Wait. Yes. That's it...right?" T.Mor liked how sometimes if he could look at it long enough and mess with the letters for long enough, something happened. if he stuck them together with the right sounds...words happened, and that amazed him.

"Hreally?" I asked. "Zat's cool." But it didn't seem like she cared to talk about it...

Mrs. Mullen beamed and nodded. "Would you be comfortable with a four-letter word now, T. Mor?"

"Why not...."T.Mor shrugged. He was liking this whole reading thing, even if the letters sometimes lied about their sounds.
He wondered if he would be staying here all day instead of going to class. "Erm...Can I ask a scheduling questiion first?" He continued with the question anyway, having gained a little bit of confidence from somewhere. "Am I going to be here all day for a while? Or..." He trailed off, not knowing what the other option would even be. "Or...will I just go to my next class after the bell rings...or..." He continued after a moment of thought.

Jaason jogged up to her. "That's cool. You're too nice, Ginger." He offered up a cheesy smile.

"Hey, it gets me outta class," Ginger laughed lightly and smiled to his cheesy smile. "Dont ya wish you had an excuse to actually be cutting right now?"
