"Oh...well, don't worry, that question wasn't that insensitive."

and now i dont know what to do with derek...Oh derek how you confuzle me.

(ohh, that's because they're from a different chat -- Brok and Dakota -- but Dana is from Dakota's book. And Brok and Dakota are gf/bf, but they also have love interests in the books, but we don't want to write those books now and...maybe it's hard to explain >_<)

herm -taps chin- I'm not sure what to do with Carly, either.

(lol Kaler is making it so hard for me to even think about Brok and a different Dakota.)

"I've noticed," Dana said with a slight smile. "But it's okay."

(Momo: where did Derek go?)

Max: I grinned. "Well, that's good," I said. Now I didn't know what to say again.

Dana liked Max's smile, he didn't seem to smile very much. "Hmm. So is it normal for you to randomly start games of Hide-and-Seek? Or was I just special?"

Max: I laughed. "Nah. You were just special, yeah."

(he doesn't smile much D:)

Dana laughed. "Awesome."

Carly stood up and closed her magazine. Knowing Derek, he had probably gone to the roof. There wasn't really anything to talk out, but she thought she'd go talk to him anyway. About...well, whatever. She climbed the steps to the rooftop.

Max: I laughed. "How does that make you feel?" Ugh. Once again, random and awkward me...

"Like maybe you're not as uncomfortable around me anymore." Dana smiled. "Which is a good thing."

Max: I raised an eyebrow. "Hm." Now that I thought about it, yeah. "Yeah, that's a step."

Derek was sprawled out on his back looking up at the clouds. The sun was setting so the sky was acquiring a pinkish color.

Dana nodded, her smile widening a little. "And what is the step towards? Being friends?"

Carly crept up behind him and then jumped over top of him, landing on the other side of the roof. She laughed, wondering if that had scared him. "Hey."

Max: I nodded. "Yeah. That, and forgetting about the past and moving forward."

"Jesusf***!" (< haha, my new swear frase whenever something bad happens...) Derek exclaimed, sitting up suddenly to see if she was ok.

"The past?" Dana raised an eyebrow. They didn't have a past....

Carly continued laughing. She had landed on her feet on the other side of him, safe as safe could be. "A little scared, Der?"

(Der, pronounced like dare. tell me if you don't like the nickname, mom)

Max: "Yeah. Like, everything that happened to me..."

"Oh, oh! Right." Dana nodded quickly.
