Children of the Fire

Bryce- "I'm a transfer student," I said with a smile.

Leah wrinkled her forehead. "She would say yes."

Mara- I laughed at her answer. "You're too young to come to my school," I told her.

Megan nodded "Oh thats why..." She said looking down.

Leah frowned, "How come?"

Bryce- "What's your name?" I asked softly.

Megan smiled "Im Megan... whats your name?" She asked looking into his eyes.Her heart began to beat faster.

Mara- "I don't make the rules," I replied. "But if I did, I would make sure you could come with me every day." I smiled.

Bryce- "Bryce," I answered. I looked into Megan's eyes, thinking how pretty they were. I didn't know why I was thinking it, but I was.

"Nice to meet you Bryce." Megan said. She liked his name it fit him well.

Leah smiled back, "Okay...."

Bryce- I smiled. "So, this might sound dumb, but do you come here often?" I asked.

Mara- "You do know you're gonna have to go back though, right?" I asked Leah. Mom was bound to know she wasn't in the house.

Megan laughed softly and said "Yes I do actually."

Colin sat on the beach for a moment, ignoring the nearby girl voices. After going over what he should do and what he wanted to in his head he sighed and stood. Pulling off the multi colored tee he ran forward and threw himself in the water.

Leah wrinkled her forehead again. "Nope, I ain't gonna. Mom said the piano teacher is coming today, I don't wanna listen to that boring person."

(NO WAY!!!! That is so cool!!!!! Superchick is awesome)

Bryce- That had to be the first time I'd heard Megan laugh. She seemed so depressed about her boyfriend. I was glad I could cheer her up at least a little bit. "You have a nice laugh," I said.

Mara- "I thought you liked music."

((ADD ME AS A FRIEND lol!)

Megan smiled and blushed "Thanks..." She said.

Leah's wrinkle got deeper, "I do but she's boring! All she does is talk 'bout my being a natural and how I should go to some music school." She gave Mara a conspirators look. "I think mom is getting bored too."

Megan smiled and blushed "Thanks..." She said.

Mara- "How about this? I'll get you something you like on the way back from school, if you go back home. We can play a game once I get back. Deal?"

Leah frowned for a moment, then agreed with a huge smile. "Deal!"

Bryce- I smiled.
