Daggerhorn..

James sighed and looked down running a hand through his hair. He was disgusted with himself. He should have waited. He should have been more careful. He was a terrible husband. Fist he couldn't protect her, now he had hurt her.

The healer finished her job, and then left the tent quietly, but James couldn't bring himself to sit down.

Artemis ignored her body's screams of protest and forced herself onto her feet and over to james. She lightly brought his chin up to met her gaze "you mad at me?"

"No, of course not." James said wondering how she could even be thinking that. He set her back on the bed, trying his best to be as careful as possible. "I'm mad at myself. I should have waited. I should have been more careful, I-" He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Forgive me." His eyes were filled with hurt and obvious conviction of his own worthlessness.

Artemis examined him for a moment "there's nothing to forgive" she scoffed, confusion clear on her face. She slipped her hand through his "I love you" She reasoned, squeezing his hand softly

James looked down at her. "You are to good for me." He murmered and laid next to her, wrapping her gently in his arms. "I'm so sorry for hurting you."

Artemis furrowed her eyebrows, trying hard to recall any moment of pain caused from his touch "you didn't hurt me"

"I caused you wound to open." James said watching her, not entirely sure he believed that he hadn't caused her pain.

Artemis stroked his cheek "any simple movement would have caused that." she frowned and pecked his lips

James sighed and watched her. "I should have been more careful." he said and burried his face in her hair, kissing her neck gently. "I'll do better. I promise."

Artemis smiled and kissed his head "wanna practice on said skills?"

James looked at her. "Do you think it's alright? You up for it?"

Artemis pushed away her soreness, the pleasure of his touch always made it vanish anyway. "positive" she kissed him gently

(I'm off to take a shower, be back in a few)

"You tell me if I hurt you at all, or if something doesn't feel right, or if you feel you wound open or whatver. Ok?" James said as he watched her carefully, kissing her back gently, a little distractedly. His mind was still trying to decide if this was a good thing or not.

Artemis tugged him to her, exasperated "yes" she breathed, deepening the kiss

James kissed her back, moving ontop of her and entangling their bodies again. He made sure to be slow and careful. When they finally stopped he looked at her worried. "Everything still ok?"

artemis smiled, her eyes closing in happiness. "you could say that"she kissed across his chest to prove her point

Lark continued to make soothing noises as he held her close, trying to make the nightmare be forgotten.

Sariah finally got her tears under control and sat, wiping her eyes. She gave a feeble apologetic smile. "I'm sorry." she murmered.

James gave a small smile as he held her close.

"for a minute there I thought you weren't ever going to touch me after that" artemis murmured, her fingers trailing up and down his back

James sighed and looked down at her. "I honestly thought about it. At least until you were better." He watched her carefully. "But I can't resist you. I'm to addicted." He smirked.

A grin broke across artemis's face and she brought herself up to him " and I to you" she kissed him softly

James chuckled and kissed her back gently, his arms still wrapped around her.

Artemis sighed and let her body fall back onto the body, her injured side still too weak to hold her up like that "we're never gonna leave our tent, are we?"

James stared at her. "We've been out. We spent all of today outside. I didn't bring you in until it was getting dark." He shrugged, holding back a wince from his own wounds.
