Daggerhorn..

Lark held her, quiet for a long time. "Do you wanna talk about it?" He murmured finally. "Maybe that would help." He kissed the top of her head and smiled, "Perhaps I can think of something to fix it."

Sariah went to shake her head then stopped and sighed. "I just..I dreamed the wolves were scratching at the tent, then you came in covered in blood, and dropped infront of me and I went into labor and no one was there to help me and," her voice cracked slightly and she burried her face into his chest. "It just felt so real," her voice was barely above a whisper, a tear rolling down her cheek.

Lark kissed her head, "I wont let that happen, I promise. I wont leave you alone to that." He wrapped his arms tighter around her for comfort, tears threatening his own eyes. Why was he almost crying? Angrily he forced them away. "I promise." He repeated softly.

Sariah nodded and went back to nibbling her roll as Lark held her, not really noticing much else, her eyes starting to droop again. "Lark? Where are those herbs? My stomach doesn't feel good..." She had barely got the words out before she leaned over the bed and emptied her stomach.

Lark held her hair, "I'm sorry." He said with a sheepish look. "I shoulda grabbed those first."

"It's ok," Sariah said as she finished puking and laid back on the bed, covering her face with a pillow to block the smell. "I'm sorry, I'll clean it up here in just a second. Just let me get my stomach calm again."

Lark frowned and stood. "No." He told her firmly and stepped around the mess. "I'll clean it up. You rest, I'll get you some new rolls after this is gone." He grabbed a stack of rags he kept on hand for this purpose and started cleaning.

Sariah didn't say anything, she just kept the pillow over her head, not really noticing Megan. All she could focus on was her rolling stomach that was threatening to make her food come up again. "Lark, I'm not going to be able to eat anything for a while, so just...wait for the rolls."

Lark nodded and continued to wipe up the mess. She seemed better to him. He decided. She looked healthier. She ate food. He finished the mess and walked out of the tent to dispose of the rags.

Sariah kept the pillow over her head, taking deep breaths, starting to drift off some. She blinked a few times and forced her eyes open. She didn't want to sleep again. She'd have another nightmare.

Lark walked back in and kneed next to the bed. He put an arm around her and kissed the back of her head, his voice soft he whispered in a understanding tone, "I know you're afraid to go back to sleep." He paused, forcing himself to continue. "I still have them too, the nightmares. I don't know if they'll ever go away but something I do know is we are here, together. I won't let them come true, and I'll be here if anything happens so I can calm you. It'll be okay. Just get some rest."

Sariah rolled so she coud see him, her stomach rolling with her. She stared up at him and sighed, giving a small nod. "Alright." She she said quietly. He hadn't been there the last few times she had woken up though.....

A crease forming on his forehead Lark stood and walked over to the other side of the bed. Slipping in he moved over next to her and pulled her to him, kissing the top of her head.

Sariah burried herself in his side, blinking tiredly, though her eyes stayed open. She didn't want to close her eyes still.

Lark wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head again. "Sleep." He murmured softly. "I'm going to stay right here. Sleep."

Sariah sighed and gave a small nod, forcing her eyes to close. It didn't take her long before she fell asleep.

Lark held her close, trying to make the nightmares not come. She deserved at least one good nights sleep after everything that has happened to her. At least one good night.

Megan backed out of the tent and sighed. Sariah was having nightmares... what else would be happening. She thought angerly. Megan walked to the river and sat down. She kept repeating what the old woman had said over and over in her head. "What does it mean?" She said outloud. "Maybe I will just have to see."

Sariah jolted awake multiple times in the night, each time burrying herself in Lark's side before falling asleep again. The nightmares didn't seem to stop, though they weren't as bad.

Lark couldn't bring himself to sleep, falling back into the habit of watching the tent door and comforting her when she woke from a nightmare. It was a bad habit and he knew it, but he couldn't help but do it.

Sariah jumped, bolting straight up in bed and looking around with wide eyes, tears threatening to fall. Her eyes found Lark and she took a deep breath, laying down next to him again and burrying her face in his shoulder.

Lark held her close, wrapping a comforting arm around her. "Shh, its okay. I'm here. I'm not leaving." He murmured soothingly.

Sariah nodded, fighting back the tears. She slipped ontop of him and laid there clinging to him. She didn't want to loose him. Couldn't loose him.

Lark kept an arm around her and moved another so his hand could wipe the tears from her cheeks. "Shh, its alright. I'm not going anywhere. You can just stay right here, we'll stay here until you're alright..." He wasn't sure if that made any sense but he figured the soothing tone was all that mattered.

Sariah pulled the covers u and over their heads so they were hiding like they use to. Hiding from the nightmares,, hiding from the cold. She didn't say anything though. She just concntrated on his voice, letting it send it's comfort through her body. "don't let go." she said after a moment
