"I know." Ama chuckled.

Tatlo smiled. It felt good to eat something after so long. She didn't really have the opportunity to eat anything with wolves chasing her for a meal. Good thing she lost them a few days ago.

Ama smiled and asked "Want more?"

Tatlo nodded and began to pick a few more berries from the bush.

Ama chuckled and watched her.

Tatlo noticed him watching her and she swallowed the berries in her mouth. "What?"

"You look like Moheo when she ate most of the berries." Ama chuckled.

Tatlo felt herself blushing a little. "Well, I haven't eaten in a while," she defended with a smile.

"Same as Moheo you would like my sister I think." Ama chuckled and smiled a ther blush.

Tatlo smiled. "She looks nice," she said.

Absolokaa frowned. He let out a breath, nodded and left with the deer.

Honon's eyes followed Absolokaa for a moment before he turned back to Moheo.

Moheo turned to Honon and gave him a sad smile. "He thinks we are a couple." She said with a slight blush.

Ama nodded "She is.. she is trong and she knows her way around these woods."

Honon nodded. "Well, he is your betrothed."

"But I do not love him." Moheo admited looking down at her feet.

Honon nodded. He understood completely. "You're the chief's daughter. I'm guessing you will be marrying him because your father likes him?"

"I do not want to... I want to find love but my father will not hear it." Moheo said.

"I know how you feel. My father had been the same way about me finding a bride." Honon shook his head. "I refused to marry the person he wanted me to marry."

"That's good. I've had trouble finding my way a few times." Tatlo brushed her hair out of her face, hating the fact that she was the only one in her tribe who could get lost while hunting.

Moheo nodded "You have curage and i am a daughter not a son... if i refuse i will die" she whispered lookimg down.

Ama smiled and nodded "You must meet her soon."

Honon took a step forward. "Why would you die?"

"Because if I dont marry him i will be a descrase to my family and tribe...." Moheo said looking down.

Honon took her chin in his hand, lifting it so she would look in his eyes. "I've been in your place. I know how it feels." He shrugged.

Moheo nodded and she tried not to show signs of tears. "I hate it... Absolokaa would be a good husband and father to my children when I have them but I am only 17."

Honon nodded. "I understand how you feel. I was expected to wed at fifteen."

Moheo nodded but she didnt pulled back. Her heart softened for this stranger. She felt like she had a connection with him that she didnt have with Absolokaa.
