The Spirits (An Indian Chat)

Tatlo cocked her head along with him for fun.

Honon smirked. He could tell that the deer was a human who was blessed. "So, I'm guessing the forest spirit blessed you for you to be able to turn into a deer." He nodded.

Tatlo shifted to her human self and grinned. "Yes, I am. Who blessed you?"

"The spirit of the forest, I can shift into a bear. What tribe are you from?"

"The Souix tribe. You?"

"The Miwok tribe but I ran away."

"Why?"

Honon didn't answer and turned away to walk back to the tribe. There was no one he would talk to about that. Except maybe Moheo.

Tatlos jumped over the river and tried to keep up with him. "Did I say something wrong?" she asked.

Honon didn't say anything.

Moheo stepped away and gave a smile to her brother. "I was just leaving." She walked down the river wanting a swim. She dove in and changed into the woman with a tail. She swam till she was by the stranger.

Ama looked at Absolokaa. "What were you thinking?" He snarled.

Absolokaa took a step back and blinked. He swallowed.

"You know the rules and yet you break them. You are lucky my father loves you so or I would have killed you." Ama said.

Moheo watched the stranger and she smiled. She swam up behind him and made a splash.

Tatlo was quiet. Did I offend him somehow?

Moheo watched the sceen unfold on she tried to get out but she fell. She groaned in pain. The river bed rocks dug into her palms. Her dark hair was flowing down her back and she tried to get out onmore time.

Abssolokaa swallowed and took another step back.

Honon turned and looked at Tatlo. "I have my reasons. If I tell someone I have to know or trust them."

Tatlo nodded. "I understand."

Moheo got out and dried off and got back into her clothes and ran to see honon and her heart fluttered.

Ama looked at him. "What ere you thinking? Tell me." He demanded.

Honon nodded and moved down the river. He noticed Moheo and his heart softened.

Abssolokaa swallowed. "I was thinking that she is my betrothed and that I care about her."

Tatlo noticed the girl walking throught the grass.

"You need to watch youself." Ama said before leaving him to his thoughts.

Moheo walked up and the wind had hit her and her hair flowed down her back. Her eyes soften and she smiled warmly.

Abssolokaa walked away and walked toward the river.

Honon smiled as he looked at Moheo. His eyes moved up and down as he took a mental photograph.

Moheo walked to them and smiled. "How are you?" She asked both of them.

Tatlos smiled at her. "I am fine, thank you."

Honon smiled at her. "I'm alright Moheo."
