It happened on Sunday morn'....

Jackson frowned as he saw her hand and straightened up in the bed. "Where is your bandage?" He wrote with a stern look. If he had to have the stupid I.V.s then she had to have the bandage.

Lou looked at the paper and sighed and wrote back. "I was worried about you, I had to take it off so I could get over to you."

Jackson continued to frown. "Well, now you should put it back on. You want your hand to heal don't you?"

Lou sighed and pointed to the bandage on the floor that was now dirty, then looked back at him. "It's fine. Doctor said I had to let it breath some anyway, other wise it won't heal right," she scribbled down.

Jackson thought for a moment then shrugged, "If you say so." He smiled at her and thought for a moment before writing. "Last night was fun."

Angiela looked at him and a faint smile came on her lips. "Once I saw you and her.... well lets just say that the bartender was my best friend"

Lou gave a small smile and nodded. "Yes, last night was fun." She said, her voice distorted. She was tired of writing. She took another deep breath and stared at him. "How do we get you to remember everything, all the time?"

Jackson frowned, "I, I don't know. The music seemed to help." It did help a little, giving him bits and pieces of memories that his mind connected to the music. Little things, but they were something.

Lou stared at him and shook her head. "I mean every time you wake up." She watched him carefully.

Jackson shut his eyes again, trying to picture what the waking up felt like. "I don't know Lou. When I wake up it's, it's," he tried to find the right words. "It's like a unfinished song. My mind knows that it's missing something, and reaches for the missing part. But it can't touch it, only feel that its there and waiting for me to figure out how to fix it. I don't have any idea how to do that."

Lou watched him and took a deep breath, running a hand through her long hair. "Write me a song." Lou finally said as she watched him. "I want you to write me a song."

Jackson smiled as her words brought back the memory of last night after she fell asleep. "I did, last night." He told her, waiting for her reaction to that. Wondering if she would mind.

Lou raised her brow and gave a small nod. "Show me."

Jackson smiled and started to pull out of the bed, growling under his breath at the tubes as he stood and grabbed ahold of the thing holding the bags the tubes were connected to. He gestured for her to lead the way to the piano.

Lou watched him for a moment, then turned her wheelchair around, hiding a wince as she rolled herself from the room and towards the little room with the piano. She decided that perhaps, perhaps if he woke up like he did earlier, and she showed him the song, maybe everything would come back. She would leave out the part about it being written for her. She rolled over to the piano and put her hand to the wood, waiting.

Jackson argued with the rack holding the bags all the way to the room and sat it beside the bench before sitting down. He gave her a smile and began playing the tune he had written last night while she was sleeping.

Gabriel looked into her eyes. He brushed her hair out of her face.

Lou kept her hand to the piano, her eyes on his fingers, memorizing the notes. The wood vibrated happily under her fingers, giving her a small sense of what the song was like, a small smile pulling at her lips.

Jackson soon lost himself in the music, the song like another life line to his confused mind. Now her had two things to hold him, the music, and Lou. He smiled, a slight memory poking at his thoughts. He'd almost asked her out along time ago. But thought it too weird and didn't. huh.

Angela closed her eyes and let out a sigh.

Lou kept her eyes on his fingers in awe, a small smile spreading to her face, the vibrations feeling comforting. She bit her lip as it started to quiver, and fought to keep the tears back.

Jackson began to slow in the song, his fingers playing the last of the keys as he let out a small sigh. The song bringing him into a state of happiness.

A tear slid down Lou's cheek and she closed her eyes, biting her lip hard enough it started to bleed slightly.

Jackson looked to Lou and frowned, pulling her into a hug. "Whats wrong?" He scribbled on a piece of paper and waited for her to see it.

"I wish this could last." Lou scribbled, still biting her quivering lip. "That you would always remember, and that you wouldn't forget again when you wake up, thinking that it's still three months back, or forgetting me entirely."
