Soda gave a small nod as he pointed to the scriblings on the ceiling and rafters. "When I need to think," he said with a smile. "It's the only place no one can find me."

Artemis nodded and sat down, watching him. "where's the alcohol go?"

Soda looked around, "Uh, oops. I must have set it down when I climbed up here," he frowned slightly and looked over the edge. "I don't see it...oh well. It didn't cost that much. Besides, that's not why we're here," he smirked and went to the loft door and pulled it open, revealing the sunset.

Artemis gasped, drifting to his side and looking around in awe "it's beautiful....." she breathed, completely intranced

Soda chuckled, wrapping his arm gently around her waist to keep her from falling. He could feel the ache to use, to impress her with it, but he fought back and looked down at her. "It's the best view for miles. I know, I've checked."

Jean: well....only when it comes to talking to people like the hot sweaty guy Taylow made me fall on...that was so awkward.
Sam: Hey, it's better than being stuck with a nut ball, or being used by a jerk.
Jean: Sam...I'm dying. I don't think there is anything worse than that.
Sam: ....you got me there....although...being harrassed by spiders when you have a phobia of them is pretty harsh.
Jean: Try chemo..then you'll know what harsh is.
Sam: Wow, you're miss pessimist today aren't you?.
Jean: well if you'd quit complaining!.
Sam: I wasn't complaining! You were! I was just trying to help!
Jean: I wasn't complaining either, I was just curious..
Sam: Whatever.
Jean: hoe.
Sam: four eyes.
Jean: skank.

Jean: Bimbo.
Sam: *gasp* I am not a bimbo
Jean: Sure you're not.

Artemis surpassed herself by settling into his arms, eyes locked on the horizon in awe. She tentatively squeeze his hand, secretively glade he lost the alcohol

Soda sighed as he held her, glancing down at her with curious eyes. "What are you thinking about?"

Sam stared at the tequila James had put by her, then at James, then back at the tequila. "What? You want to get me drunk so you can get laid?"

James blinked, looking around in confusion. What the? Realization dawned on him and he thanked his lucky stars. He shook his head, pushing tv e tequila away from both of them and meeting his gaze. "you deserve better than that, wants some rest? You can take my bed, I'll be fine on the couch."

Artemis sighed, looking up at him with curios eyes "you" she answered honestly"

Soda raised his brow as he watched her. "What about me?" he asked curiously, a small grin on his face.

Sam blinked a few times as she looked at him skeptically and shook her head slightly. "I'd rather not be left alone...if that's alright."

James nodded and stood. "I'll take the window seat then." He gave her a small smile, offering her his hand.

Artemis blushed and shook her head, looking away. "Nothing, is this place abandon?"

Soda nodded as he watched her with a small smile. "Ya, all except for Martin, the grounds keeper. But he stays up at the old mantion."

Sam watched him and raised a brow, taking his hand and following him.

Artemis kept her gaze locked on the horizon "Why?" she asked, her voice small.

"Why does he stay up there? Because...he's old and...takes care of things...up there..." crap. How did he tell her about that without telling her his secret?

I don't understand the 'withour telling her his secret bit' >.>

"No, why are you being so nice to me? I didn't expect you too"

Soda looked down at her and raised a brow. "Why not?" He asked curiously. "I told you I love you didn't I?"

*Ella can't remember this... so niether will Artemis, call it a side affect.
Artemis blinked and backed away, "Wha, what?"

Soda shrugged and watched her. "Why else would I want you to fall in love with me?" He asked, his voice a little more soft than before.

Artemis blinked, turning her back to him and staring off. " I thought it was just an act" she replied, her troat tight

"No, no it wasn't," Soda said as he came up behind her, his hands gently resting on her shoulders as he turned her to face him. His eyes searched hers for a long moment. "I feel...I feel like I've known you my whole life, Artemis." He said quietly. "I honestly never thought I'd fall for you, but...I feel like I didn't just fall...I feel like you drop kicked me in the nuts or something." He gave a small smile. He was always terrible at expressing things, especially when it came to emotional stuff.

Artemis held his gaze, intent on not falling for his ploy." So, pretty much youre groin has fallen for me? Lovely"

Soda blinked, obviously confused on how she derived that out of what he just said. He shook his head and sighed, running a hand through his hair. "No, it's not...it's not a physical love..." he said quietly. "It's deeper than that..."

Artemis looked away, trying hard to forget the heat rushing to her cheeks at his words. "I'm just another girl to you... We all know of your rep. Don't mess with me... please"

Soda looked up at her and frowned. "Oh, is that why you think I can't love you? Just because I have money, that makes me heartless?" He watched her for a long moment and shook his head, looking back at his feet. "You know, maybe this was a bad idea," he murmered and turned, going towards the ladder. "I have work in the morning anyway, we should head back."
