Maralyn came off stage and sighed. She had a full show and she needed to rest. But of course she needed to go and get the tips from everyone who had watched her preformance. She walked out and got the money. Her head was spinning but she didnt care.

Reggie: Where the hell's George when I need him? He has the annoying habit of showing up in his broke down jalopy of a car when he's the last person I want to see and completely vanishing when I need him. The senile old bastard... "Hey Maralyn," I call through the haze of smoke and perfume. "You seen George?"

(Btw, few people know that George's a gangster. They just think he's an uncaring loose living cop.)

Lighting a smoke, Ezcar stared into the hazy cloud with dead, half-lidded eyes. This place... It was a straight man's heaven, but a gay man's nightmare. He plucked the cigarette from his lips at the same moment he pulled the flask from his pocket, taking a swig. And repeat.

Cecelia: The place is packed when I finally arrive. Every seat in the joint's taken and most people have begun to sit on tables or on the bar. Or on some guys' lap. I wrinkle my nose in disgust and start pushing my way through the crowd. There's a lonely lookin' guy sitting at a table in the corner and I walk over. "Mind if I have a seat?"

His gaze slid over to her, giving her a quick once-over, his eyes not losing their lifelessness. "Go ahead." Who knows? She could prove to be interesting. He seriously doubted it, but it was worth a shot.

Cecelia: I sit down as best as I can in the tight space and give the guy a once over. He's pretty cute, although brunettes are more of my thing. Cute enough to make Oz jealous when he finds a parking space. "So what do they call you?"

"Ez," he answered coolly, "Name's Ezcar, though. You?" She was something to look at, if he were into that sort of thing, anyway...

Cecelia: "Cecelia," I say with a slow smile. "Just Cecelia. So what're you doin' here lookin' so lonesome, Ez? You look like you'd rather be tortured than sit here a minute longer."

He gave a bitter smirk, laughing humorlessly. "You got a good eye on you, Cecelia. But I figure you really don' wanna know anyhow," he said, "I'm here because I have nothin' better to do with my life at this moment. What about you, since you're the one full'a questions?"

Cecelia: "The same, more or less. Came to visit an old friend today and we figured we could either drive around in his packard all day, go shopping, or come here. Well the first one was pretty boring and he didn't really like option number two. So here I am."

Ez quirked a brow, " 'Old friend,' or old flame?" He took another swig, putting the stick out in the ashtray at the center of the table.

Cecelia: I don't even flinch. I've been asked much worse anyway. "Old friend. Although don't think I haven't been trying. The kid's just got his sights set on every else but me."

"I know the feeling," he murmured, scanning through the thick atmosphere. What was he even doing here? If he had any brains at all he'd know that he'd been stood up. Again.

Cecelia: "Don't worry, Ez. I haven't given up hope yet as long as I've known the kid, so you shouldn't either." I wink just as I feel water hit my shoulder. When I look up, Oz's slicking his hair back with is hat in his hand. "God damn rain came outta nowhere."

Looking up, he was silent as he looked at the man. So, this must be him, then... Not bad. "Welcome to New York. Full of surprises, it is." He pulls out another smoke, offering one to Oz, glancing at Cecelia to see if she was interested in one, too.

Oswald: "Thanks man," I say as I take one. Cecelia waves it away and I start digging in my pockets for a match. "And don't I know it? Been here fifteen god damn years and I still ain't use to the weather. If its not hotter than hell, its cold as ice. And if it ain't cold, it's raining."

He hummed lowly as a response, eyes fixed to the empty stage. He trailed along to the woman around the room and the dirty old men that they were moochin' off of like your regular whore. Would it be easier just to go along, pretending to be like one'a them...? Pretending to be like his dad? His dad... Ezcar closed his eyes, taking a drag and breathing out, frustrated. "Quite a woman you got there, you know," he piped up, eyes glinting mischieviously as he spared a glance at Cecelia.

Cecelia: This is why I shouldn't tell strangers my business. Oz grins and pulls up a chair, propping his feet up on the table. "Cecelia? Yea, she's somethin' else. I can't tell you how many fights I've been in because of her."

(Soooo tempted to make him gay. TT.TT)

( xD -pats- It doesn't matter either way love. Ez does need a love interest, but he isn't gonna steal anyone regardless. )

He leaned forward, intrigued. "Yea? Go on, out with it." Just because he was alone, didn't mean Cecelia had to be.

Oh, they weren't gonna end up together anyway. XD
I haz plans for Cecelia.

Cecelia: Oz gives him a stupid look and I look away toward the stage. Here it comes. "Out with what?" he asks through his cigarette.

He let up a sigh, starting to see what she meant before. "You can't tell me that you don't have anything going for her. Look at her. She's a doll."

(I should say this now...he's a very convincing straight when he wants to be xD)

And I've offically decided that Oswald's straight and Thomas'll be gay. Because a gay ruthless gangster sounds fun. <3

Oswald: "She's a doll but she's practically a sister to me, and I'm sure she thinks the same thing." I look over at Cecelia, but I don't think she's listening. She's too busy trying to hail down one of the waiters.
