Tyler nodded. "Yeah...that's her alright. Some things haven't changed..." But a lot have. She had a different hairstyle and the way she looked on the outside was different. He wondered what made her change so much, but he figured it was just growing up. He changed too.

Dakota smiled as the waiter came and showed them to their seats. "Kare, KARE," She demanded and Karelle glanced up from the book.

"Huh?"

"Seat, food, book goes bye bye." Dakota told her and Karelle rolled her eyes taking a seat on one side of the booth.

"Fine." She muttered still not looking at Tyler.

Tyler sat opposite of Karelle, giving her space. He wasn't quite sure why she was so...mad? at him...maybe mad wasn't the right word. She wouldn't look at him....Tyler had just...stopped talking to her. He looked through the menu, tempted to talk to Karelle directly so she would have to talk to him.

Dakotat glanced between them and sighed, ploping down next to Karelle and nudging her with her elbow. "The book, in you bag please."

Karelle rolled her eyes again and put it away, instead sticking the menu in her face.
Dakota sighed and glanced at Tyler again then got an idea. "So, if you were friends as kids you guys must have some good stories of stuff you did."

Tyler rolled her eyes at Karelle's actions and laid his menu on table. "Well..." He glanced at Karelle, or well, her menu, and thought about it. "We actually found some secret underground caves....didn't we Kare?"

Karelle's eyes flickered up to him and she hesitated before giving a short nod and letting them drop again. "We did."

Dakota's eyes went wide, "Really? Thats so cool! What were they like?"

Tyler was sort of relieved that she replied somewhat. "They were very deep underground, by the river and they were very tall. It was so dark and we only had a flashlight. I thought I heard voices down there. It was damp, because of the river. I still remember it..."

Karelle shuddered slightly, her hands tightening on the menu as she let the memory form in her mind. "Not voices..." she murmured softly. "Screams."

Dakota's brow drew together in confustion as a waiter approached. "Voices? Screams? Weird..."

Tyler quickly turned his head toward the window, wanting the familiar sounds of the mall to fill his mind. "Screams..." He corrected himself, remembering it now. They were so scared when they heard screams. They weren't all...human. They thought they were imagining it before...but thinking of it now, he knew they weren't human.

Karelle studied the menu to try and push the memories away and Dakota just kinda stared at them. "Wow..."

"Are you ready to order?" The waiter asked and then took another look at the girls with a smile. "Oh, hello. The usual?"

Dakota nodded but Karelle thought for a moment then shook her head, the memories making her feel queasy. "Just a chef salad please."

The waiter took the order and smiled at her before turning to Tyler and studying him for a moment. "Are you ready?"

Tyler turned back to the waiter. "Cheeseburger." He didn't really care what he ate; he was so absorbed in the memory now. Them running home, scared to death. Their parents thought something was seriously wrong, but then told us it was our imagination.

((Now would be a good time to bring in Phoenix I think....I'm not sure what to have them do now..))

The waiter nodded, once again looking over him before turning back to the girls. "Haven't seen you around here for awhile, hows about tha-"

Karelle glared at the guy and Dakota rolled her eyes. "Not in a million years, aren't you working?"

The waiter sighed and grumbled to himself but left.

((mkay. Well...i'm about to go here. 11 pm here and tired))

Phoenix sighed as he walked into the crowded mall. Not his type of place, but it was somewhere against the bullies. At least he hoped so. He walked past several stores and a restaraunt. Someone grabbed him from behind and threw him up against the wall. "Hey...been lookin' for ya." It was the bully, Alex.

Tyler sighed and pushed away the memory, or at least tried to. He hadn't thought about it for a long time and now he was. He had pushed it away like his parents said to do. Now he couldn't let it go.

Karelle drummed her fingers on the table for a moment then, ignoring the glare from Dakota, she pulled out her book and proceeded to read.

Dakota opened her mouth to tell Karelle off then caught sight of somthing outside the window. Seeing Alex she pursed her lips and only hesitated a moment before darting out of her seat and out of the restraraunt.

Phoenix tried to push Alex away, but he was a football player and strongly built. Alex punched him right in the eye, then his nose. Alex laughed at Phoenix and shoved him harder against the wall. When Alex saw Dakota coming, he acted as if it was a joke. "Oh hey Dakota." Phoenix glared hatred at Alex, but he couldn't escape right now. Alex was holding him by the neck to the wall.

Tyler sighed. "What did I do to make you be mad at me? Seriously. I know we stopped talking...but is there something else...?"

Dakota glared at him, her eyes studying Phoenix for a moment before going back to Alex. "Hey yourself moron. What do you think you're doing?"

Karelle glared at him for a moment before letting her eyes drop to the table. "Tyler," she began, choosing her words carefully. "How many friends do you think I had when you hit talking to me? How many times before then had you scared some bully off? What do you think happened when you quit being my friend? That that all magically went away? No. It didn't. It got worse. After you abandoned me up to when Dakota found me I ha I spent everyday in the library to avoid the insults and laughter. I walked home alone and sprang every evening alone with my family. You didn't just quit talking to me Tyler. You left me with no one."

Alex laughed. "Teaching the mega loser his place. Been a looser since elementary school. You got somethin' to say about it?"

Tyler hadn't realized he did so much. "Karelle...I didn't really mean to do all those things....I was dragged into the sports crowd....I would have stayed..." He sighed and understood now. She had every right to be mad at him. "Look...you can stay mad if you want, but I'm sorry...I didn't mean to abandon you like that."
