Kidnapped

Rose: I finally took the time to look around. It was a meadow, rather beautiful, and I flopped in the grass. It was surrounded by a forest. So peaceful...

(What's up?)

Tara: I laughed and flopped down across from Rose. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of the sun on my cheeks for a few minutes. I sighed then, thinking of how this couldn't be it, they wouldn't just release us into a meadow. And we were only a couple dozen feet from the door of the building we had just come out of. I sat up "As much as I want to stay here we need to get away - someone's going to notice we're gone and come looking for us. We're easy targets if we're laying in a meadow."

Rose: "But we don't know where we are" I pointed out.

Tara: "Well, here are the choices: a. stay here like sitting ducks, waiting for them to come and recapture us or b. go in the opposite direction of them, even if we don't know what's waiting for us."

Rose: "In that case," I jumped up and ran toward the woods.

Aiden: I followed after Rose.

(hey, i thought of a good power for Rose: TELEKINESIS!!!! )

(Awesomes. Now where is Autumn in this?) (I may not post often, but Book of Eli is a really good movie.)

Autumn can follow everyone else.

Tara: I ran to catch up to the two, not wanting to be left behind. We stepped into the trees, and I felt a sense of...calm? Serenity? Something, but whatever the sensation was was very powerful, and cleared my head and sharpened my senses. I heard the birds singing louder and farther than before. I felt the crunch of the leaves beneath my toes like I was hurting myself, not the dead foliage. Weird.

(She has Earth powers and they're starting to come into play, but they are just 'turning on' so she isn't able to do anything quite yet)

Rose: The shade also felt nice. Just being outside felt nice. It was about time.

Tara: I kept my eyes open for food sources and water (*hint hint* Aiden could have water power). There were some edible berries and some other plants I noticed along the way. I'd double back and collect them after we had found somewhere we were going to stay somewhat permanently. At least overnight.

Aiden: We kept running. I turned my head back to make sure Tara was okay. She was fine, and I kept running.

Tara: "I hate running," I grumbled to myself. Not that I didn't like exercise, but running was boring. I needed something to entertain me. I looked down at the ground, looking at the different rocks, each one unique. That wasn't any better though. I sighed and kept running.

(What was Autumn's power again?)

Autumn: I noticed Tara eye the berries before going forward. "Careful. Not all of those you can eat, Tara."

Rose: Soon I was out of breath, and I had a feeling we had gained some ground over the other guys. I stopped.

Aiden: Rose stopped, so I stopped. It looked like she needed a break to catch her breath. That was a great idea.

Tara: I stopped and leaned my palm against a tree, only to reel back. Something had... coursed through the tree. Like energy would through a wire. I touched the tree again and felt the same tingling. I grabbed Aiden's hand and put it on the tree trunk. "Do you feel that?"

Aiden: She grabbed my hand and placed it on a tree. "Am I supposed to feel something?" I asked. "Because this tree feels like bark."

Autumn: "It's just bark, Tara. Did something bite you?"

Tara: I frowned and dropped his hand. Then I put my own back on the tree. I felt that same pulsing. Like I could feel the tree's energy. Feel the life flowing through the tree. "I think I must be insane then, because I feel something."

(Hmm, have any of you watched Avatar? Anyway, the powers are in tune with their personalities. Fire is fierce, air is yielding, water is flowing, and earth is solid. How many charries are there?)

Rose: I felt the tree too. "Yup. Just a boring old tree." I said.

Tara: I scowled at Autumn "No, something didn't bite me."
