Rosalie: "Okay, ladies and gentleman! Time to pay a visit to the Headless Hen!" I announced and we walked swiftly into town, where the bar was. I snuck in, and took off my oversized hat. I walked over to the bar and snagged a rum, then sat at a recruitment table.

Mutt: He was sitting at the bar when a short brenette with a braid walked in, a bunch of mangy lads...hm, and lasses...following. The brenette walked right up next to him, grabbed a rum, and went and sat down at a table. He eavedropped in when some of them were talking about recruitment. " 'Ey Trips," he tapped the lanky guy next to him, and gestured to the brenette. "There's one."

Barrie: He shyly looked at the brenette with the braid. "A gi-girl!"

Mutt: He smirked. "I swear, you're dumber than a dog. Recruitment." He slapped some money on the bar counter, and stood up. "Getcherself another round if ya want, I'm signing up."

Barrie: He studied the money and pocketed it, watching as Tom ((Mutt)) strutted to the table.

Rosalie: "'Ello mate. You want to jump aboard with me crew?" I asked.

Mutt: "Aye, miss, I'm young, handy with a sword and gun and can do just about anything I'm given orders for." He flashed a smile.

Barrie watched from a distance.

Rosalie: "Welcome aboard then, mate. Wot's yer name? And does your mate over there want to join?" I asked, looking over his shoulder.

Barrie looked like he was trying to be brave when he walked up to the table. "I wa-ant to be p-p-part o' the crew," he said, taking his hat off.

Mutt: he frowned at Barrie and gestured back to the bar, then turned back to the brenette with a smile. "Mutt Morgan."

Barrie: "No you're not-t, you're T-t-thomas!"

Mutt: "I'm Mutt, miss, don't pay attention to the man."

Rosalie: "Thomas The Mutt Morgan it is. And your name?" I asked the other man.

Barrie: He grinned. Did that mean he was part of the crew? "Barrie M-morgan, m-miss, an' thank you kindly, m-miss. I-I'm not g-good with a sword, but I-I'm the best cook ou-out th-there, miss."

Mutt: He frowned.

Tara: "I'm Tara, cartographer for the voyage," I had to keep myself from sticking out my hand to shake, because I knew that wasn't part of sailor mannerism. Instead I nodded at 'Mutt' and smiled amusedly at his brother, who reminded me of a puppy. I was glad that these two hadn't been recruited at my father's tavern, because then they would have seen me as a barmaid, not a crew member. Fresh starts were always welcome in my life.

Barrie: "Ello, T-tara," he said, and grinned.

Mutt nodded at her and turned back to the captain. "With all due respect--Captain, I'm guessing?--you don't want this guy on your ship. He's like a little kid. Not good for much, an' you gotta watch him or he'll go and do something stupid."

Barrie: "B-but you said I was a g-good cook," he reminded Thomas.

Tara: "Any one, with a speck of talent, is welcome aboard," I argued slightly. Barrie also reminded me of my little brother, the one who had fallen ill last winter and passed away. I would do anything to help and protect my little brother.

Mutt: He looked at Tara. "Alright, suite urself. If you want to watch 'im, fine by me."

Barrie: he grinned at Thomas. "T-take c-care o' me? F-friend, I take c-care o' you m-more 'n anything."

Tara: "You'll be sorry one day," I muttered of Mutt's comment. "Actually, I have enough of my own responsibilities, I can not play nanny on top of it all." He probably thought I'd take care of his brother because I was a girl, who he probably thought wasn't good for much but sewing. How I loathed sewing.

Mutt: he smirked. "It was just a warning, lassy, you don't need to be defensive. But for the record, Trips has followed me around for seven years. I think you can take a month or two, aye?"

Barrie: "I'm not a little k-kid, Thomas, I c-can take care of m-myself. I don't n-need a nanny, and with all th-the dumb stuff you do, if a-anyone n-needs a n-nanny it's you." His voice was firm, but his expression was the same as ever: eyes looking shy and surprised.

Dylan: His stutter gave me a massive headache, so I rubbed my temples and looked away. "I'm not crazy about them, Captain," i muttered to Rose.

Tara: I overheard Dylan's comment and glared at him somewhat out of the corner of my eye.

Dylan: I caught the barmaid's glare and I grinned in a 'sue me' way. Shrugging, I walked over to her and leaned against the table. "He's too inexperienced."

Tara: "I'm experienced, and I'm here," I raised an eyebrow in argument.

Dylan: "Well great for you but he's not, sweetheart. I'd rather invade one port without the risk of having one of our own getting caught. Plus, look at the kid. He's just going through a... i don't know, a phase?"

Tara: I rolled my eyes. " 'Kid'? He couldn't be much younger than me."

Dylan: "So he's younger than me, therefore 'kid.' T'me, at least," I shrugged and grinned. "Though I wouldn't mind a rescue mission. It's a chance to piss off the white wigged snots."
