Danae

"Goodnight," I replied, slipping off my bed and grabbing my pajamas from where I'd sat them next to me. "Want me to turn the lights off for you?"

Sarah

"Oh, sure, thanks."

Before I'd gotten here, I'd been worrying about what my roommate would be like. Danae seemed like a nice, sane person, though, so that was good. And based on Peter's text, he seemed to trust her completely, which said a lot. I wasn't worried anymore.

Danae

"Welcome."

I switched off the lights before heading into the bathroom to change, grateful that Trinity at least chose pajamas that had long sleeves. It was hard to get her to understand that I didn't enjoy showing myself off like she did.

Sarah

As I'd mentioned, I'd been really tired. Once I closed my eyes, I quickly fell right into a deep sleep.

Danae

Once I'd finished changing I came back out and tucked my dirty clothes away into the suitcase I'd brought things in. I was careful not to trip over anything, figuring that I didn't want to risk it if she'd already fallen asleep.

For awhile I just sat on the bed, waiting to make sure she was indeed asleep. Once I was sure, though, I slipped back off, silently of course, and walked over to grab her phone. I was careful to watch and make sure she wasn't waking up or anything. Because... well, it'd be really weird explaining what I was doing.

Once I'd made it back to my bed with the thing I quickly messed around until I figured out how to open the text part and bring up Peter's number.

'Hey. Sarahs sleepin.'

I figured Peter would know who was texting him if she was sleeping. I wasn't one for a lot of words on the keyboard, it still felt really weird.

Danae

It wasn't very long before the phone vibrated and lit up. Excited I opened the message.

From Peter:
Danae?

I couldn't help but grin. I knew he'd know right off it was me.

---Yeah I tok her phone

Danae

From Peter:
Heh... does she know?

I started to type then paused, searching my mind. What was that word that Trinity used?

---No lol

Danae

From Peter:
Ah. Well, you'll probably want to delete these messages before you put her phone back, then.

---Yeah, she probably wouldn't lik me takin her phone lol

Danae

From Peter:
She actually probably wouldn't mind if you asked. It's just a matter of asking. Well, anyway, how're you?

Well, now I felt slightly guilty. I would have to ask next time.

--- Good, tryin to figure out how this all will work I havent been to school before

From Peter:
Right. Well, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. And if I'm not around, you can ask anyone on the team.

---thanks Ive got Sarah so I think things will work out. hows things there

Skyler: I walked through the door nervous and not sure were to go. I didn't want to be here. I didn't even know who my roommate was suppose to be or where she is.

This is Kafadzwa Tendo, everyone.

Kafadzwa sidled through the doors, glancing around furtively. She pulled a large tea-chest on runners and held a sailcloth sack with a drawstring top over her back by the drawstrings. She plucked distastefully at the skirt. How was one meant to fight and climb in these fancy, useless clothes? At least she had Mr Tendo's riggers' knife sheathed and hidden in her blazer if things got too difficult. There was a red-haired girl (Skyler) standing nearby, and Kafadzwa couldn't see anyone else to talk to.
"Who're you?"
