I stood up with a wince, yawing again. I wanted to go check on Carter and see how his face was doing, but I decided against it. Sir Nincompoop might have some 'monster bane' or something with him

Carter: I charge back into the room and let out one loud whistle. "Sir Jacob the Big, Sir William the Strong, Charles of the elfen folk, Lord Peter! Arose and hearken to your hero newly returned from battle." Jacob sticks his head up from the covers and looks down at me sleepily. "Sir Newland Oaks? He lives!" I throw mt head back and laugh. "Of course I live!"

The other girls were just starting to wake up, but nobody said good morning to me because of what happened yesterday, they were afraid that sense I got such a bad whipping that talking to me was a risk. Carter: The boys throw my dirty looks, but my loyal crew throw off the covers and practically tackle me. "Shush, you'll wait the dragon!" I say under my voice. "And we have to rescuer the PEM from the princesses." Wow, that's backwords.

"Jay? Robin? Chrissie? Alex?" No, nope, nada, and uh-uh. So much for friends. I crossed my arms, my pink eyes filled with irritation. This was almost as bad as the first day, when the leader of the pack of girl's convinced everybody else I was a demon

mmmm...nah. Just was surprised it was up and running again.

Carter: I'm immediately met with a chorus of "What?!"'s, but I hold up my hand. "While she still needs some taming, she has proved herself a valiant warrior indeed. And I will /not/ betray one of mt kin. Now come, before the whole land of Claudisek awakens." I sneak over the door and open it the slightest pick, taking another sprig of lavender from my pocket.

I grabbed Alex's arm as she turned away from me. "Alex, please" I had always thought she was my best friend, even if she was kinda shallow "Get your hand off of me, you freak!" she squealed, then ran to the other side of the room. The other girls looked at me with hatred. I felt tears building in my eyes

Carter: But after a moment, I put the lavender back. I think I've got a better plan. "Wish me luck, merry men," I say. I suddenly throw open the door, cover my eyes in case someone's getting dressed, and brandish my umbrella. "Bring me your greatest warrior!"

Some of the girls yelled at him, they /hate/ it when boys come in here. A few started throwing stuff at him, a couple started cursing. But a handful, including me, are used to Carter, and they knew that unless we did as he asked, he wasn't leaving "Layla, I think he means you" One girl piped up. Then Layla stepped forward, really, really tall and really, really mean

Carter: "Draw your weapon, foul beast!" I say. "We fight for the pink eyed monster."

aww, that's kinda sweet. Kinda. In a weird way.

Layla punched him in the face, hard "Car- er... Sir Oaks!" I called, wincing

In a Carter way.

Carter: Dang, that didn't go how I expected. I stumble back and touch my nose. My fingers come away bloody and I grimace. I raise my umbrella as though to strike but turn around and yell towards my men suddenly. "Now! Pillage them!" They come out and start messing up the girl's beds and running around with their things.

Brb, dinner.

Say what you want about girls and their cattyness, but I've never seen a group of people so determined to defend their magazines, nail polish, and bras. Some of the older girls started fighting them off with pillows, while a couple of the really young kids started biting. I even saw one boy get kicked in the manhood

Carter: When everyone's distracted, I grab Maryanne's arm and make a run for it, not stopping until I'm safely in the boy's dorm. I turn around and whistle and the guy's come running back with all kinds of bumps and bruises. But they've also got some of the girl's things. "Huzzah!" I yell just as the door flies open.

I hiss in pain, squeezing my eyes shut. That run had been really bad on my back... "What was all that about?!"

Carter: "Shhh, I think the dead queen will hear us." Cassandra opens the girl's door and everyone goes silent. She looks dead tired as she looks around at all of us and Kore is riding on he back. "What's going on?"

I thought Carter and Maryanne were in the boy's dorm now?

Yea but the door seperating the boy's from the girl's is still wide open.
