Alice took her sister's hand and led her back to the manor, then they slipped inside and went back to the lesson room. "An awful case of...indigestion!" Alice thought on her feet. Violet held back a glare and then accidentally sat on her fan, causing it to break. Madama Drucilla gave her a sour look.

(I know, right? Told you he was gonna do something drastic. ...what now?)

At the end of lessons, it was getting rather late and the girls returned to their rooms to dress for dinner. Violet stood in her dressing gown at her dressing table, running a brush through her knarled red hair, when she noticed something. Her neck was bare. Violet's eyes widened in shock, then fury. "That dirty little street urchin!" She screeched.

(I think it'd be fun for them to run into each other again, but is now too soon?)

(hm, maybe. But if you have an idea, then it'd be fine. He could sneak up to the window during dinner, or at night?)

(Okay, at night would work...or maybe Violet goes to her room during dinner and finds him there?)

(Oooh, oooh no, he'll be in her room when she goes up to bed!! That would be creepy O_O)

Alice waited until 11:30 again, then slipped out the window and down the side of the house. She had thought to bring a cardigan this time, so she wouldn't be frozen, but her hair was still down, and she just wore her dressing gown. She hurried down to the quarry, excited butterflies in her stomach. Alice now understood while Violet loved to break rules.

Dustin found an open window in the Phillip's house. It wasn't easy, but he managed to climb up to it and slip inside. Damn, what a place! Nobody was in the room that he could see, so he couldn't help but glance around a bit. No harm done. The necklace was in his pocket. His original plan of get in, drop off the loot, and get out was forgotten.

Mother and father had left out a plate of tea cakes, much like the ones from that party, and Violet had stuffed her face with them before returning to her bedroom. Alice's bed, unsurprisingly, was empty- probably to sneak out with that Acton boy again - but there was someone else in the room: A short little blonde boy, that street rat! Violet narrowed her eyes and calmly & slowly walked towards him. "What are you doing here?!" She whispered urgently.

Dustin: there wasn't time to run when the door opened, so he just had to stand there dumbly. "Uh...doncha know you're s'posed to knock first?" He smile sheepishly, but only recieved a cold glare back. He sighed and took the necklace out of his pocket. "I kinda felt bad." He tossed it to her with a frown.

"Good, you have got a conscience," Violet frowned, and attempted to put the necklace back on, but couldn't do so herself so just fiddled with it as her eyes didn't leave the boy. She didn't trust that he wouldn't try to steal something else.

Dustin: "More or less." He crossed his arms.

"Is there something else you needed?" Viole asked, raising her eyebrows.

Dustin: he smirked, then stuck his hand out to shake. "No hard feelings?"
