Then I see that green kid, Beast Boy, and decide maybe it was time to make a few... friends? At least get him to stop freaking everybody else out with the talk of me dissecting people in their sleep "Er.. hey, Beast Boy"

Beast Boy: I flinch in reaction but try my hardest to pass it off as me scratching my head. "Oh...hey Spades. How was training?"

He flinches, and I sigh. Freaking Joker messed up my whole life, I guess... "Training was good... who's your mentor?" That sounded normal, right? But there was still that intimidating, slightly insane edge to my voice that even I recognized.

Beast Boy: (Assuming he doesn't have one.) "Oh.." I say after a moment. The hair on the back of my neck bristles a bit but she hasn't taken out a knife yet. "I don't really have one. I was told I'd just go with different people and see whose training challenged me the most."

How quickly he was intimidated... I close my eyes for a second and imagined him pinned to a wall, screaming as he tried to use his power but it was too... snap out of it! Opening my eyes again, I smiled softly but it came off as creepy instead of comforting. "Maybe we could train together sometime?" Once again, images of his slow and painful death flashed through my mind, and I smiled again despite myself.

Beast Boy: And have her accidently drop a civilian on me when I change into a rat? Or maybe make me turn into a frog and sell me to a science lab? "Oh chee, I was actually gonna go practice with Arrowette and Speedy for awhile, y'know, maintain agility an all that. But maybe some other time?" Like in a thousand years or so?

Just then, Arrowette and Speedy walk out of the training room, and I raise an eyebrow at Beast Boy "Hm... yeah. Maintain agility." Then I walk off with a sigh, and quickly found myself in my room again. Digging a box out of my backpack, which was filled with all of my belongings that hadn't perished in the fire, I look at my old uniform with another sigh.

Beast Boy: Ah, stupid guilt! I sigh and walk over to her door. After examining te door to make sure nothing will incinerate me or anything, I knock. "Hey...Spades," I say. "I was gonna make some tofu waffles if you wanna help. I still owe you for the window thing."

What the heck was a tofu waffle?! Stuffing my uniform back into the bag, I stand up and open the door "Are you sure?" His fear was blatantly obvious, and I bit back another sadistic smile

Beast Boy: "Yea, of course!" I say with an akward smile. "I'm trying to spread the joy of tofu waffles to all." I hesitantly take her arm and start leading her towards the kitchen.

I shiver, and finch out of his touch, stuffing my hands into my pockets "I don't...do contact" My mind wanders back to my uniform, and I realize I needed a new one if I was going to go on missions.

Ast Boy: "Oh, sorry! It won't happen again, promise!" I start to laugh in hopes of covering it hope and then start grabbing stuff from the fridge. "Let's see...tofu, water, pancake mix..."

Suppressing my gag reflex, because seriously, what is tofu made out of anyway, I stood by, just watching "I've never actually cooked before" I admit "But I'm good with technology so I could probably learn how to operate that thing?" I shrug, pointing at the oven

Beast Boy: "Oh, we're using a waffle iron!" I say. "No one will let me near the oven. See!" I open it up to reveal the little note. "Dear Beast Boy, I suggest you step away, close this, and just walk away. Love Athene, Robin, Arrowette, Speedy, and Crow." "I think Robin must've told them about that...incident."

I chuckle lightly, "In that case... what's a waffle iron?"

Beast Boy: "Its like the best thing in the world!" I pull it out and plug it up. "See, the mix goes in here, you close it, and in three minutes you have a perfectly functional waffle! This practically made my childhood!"

"Waffles made your childhood?" I ask skeptically, as a knife flew over from the counter and I caught it in my hand "We'll need this... right?" You use knives to cook with to, right?

East Boy: "Ach, no! This is knife free!" Thank goodness! "You only use that to put the butter on later."

I tossed it over his head, pinning it into the wall "Alright... what first?"

Beast Boy: Something tells me I'll be blamed for that later. "Its pretty easy to make. We just mix all these things together and pout it into the waffle iron."

Spades
I start to pour pancake mix into the bowl, when I ask suddenly "Where do you get hero uniforms?"

Beast Boy: "Oh..well, most of us just use random things we find. Halloween costumes, thrift store and punk stuff, that kind of thing. While the Justice league is filthy rich, we're still pretty broke..."

Spades
"Hm... I probably can't use my old villain uniform, right?" I sigh. That, and what I was wearing where the only clothes I owned.

Beast Boy: "Yea...that might not be the best idea," I say as I start pouring the mix in.

"That's what I thought... then what am I supposed to do?" I sigh, grabbing a large hunk of tofu and grimacing
