"Really, whoa. Who's she rooming with? Does she have her own room?"
Elli
"He doesn't like me Miss Birdy..." I muttered, looking at Canary with tear filled eyes. I could feel it; the boy hated me for some reason. "Is he gonna hurt me?" I didn't want her to leave, she was the only person who had ever been nice to me. Why did she have to leave me?

Canary: "Beast Boy? He doesn't hate you!" I wink at her. "In fact, he's nothing but a big chicken. But if he does hurt you, you just let me know, alright? He'll be breathing out of a tube no matter what form he takes." Beast Boy winces and I look at him. "I picked him to meet you first for a reason, so he'd better be nice." "Who, me? Of course I'm nice, I'll be the nicest guy you've ever met!" he does that whole akward laugh thing he does when he's afraid and I look at the girl. "See? Chicken. He'd pee himself if you looked at him hard enough."

I look at him curiously, then take a step away from Canary "You're special too?" Maybe if he had powers also, he could help me with mine. I couldn't control mine so well... I looked at my hands, little flames jumping up from my palms

Beast Boy: "Oh yea," I say. "That's kinda the plus side of being green. Watch this." I hold up a finger and start go shift into different things. A dog, a cat, a giraffe. Little kids like those, don't they? I morph back to normal and look at her. "A lot of people here do, and the ones that don't don't let that stop them from kicking major butt."

"New girl? I wanna see!" Kim jumps up with a giggle.
"Canary said to wait. She apparently freaks easily," Arrowette said.
Kim headed for the door. "Eh, what's the diff..."
Emily shakes her head. "I'll go too, just so she's not so....herself..."

Elli
I smile softly, taking his hand "I can do stuff too... stuff that they don't want me to. But then I met Miss Birdy, and she said I was special. Will you help me?"

Speedy
"How old is she?" Hey, a girl my age that doesn't hate me yet could really be cool... "Wait up, I'll come to!"

Cissie grumbles. "If you all scare her Canary's going to kill ya..."

Robin paused. "She came from Mother's."

Beast Boy: "Ah, sure. If you really want me to," I say. She's not as bad as some of the other kids I've met. As long as she doesn't start to act like the little kids in those scary movies, I guess things won't be so bad.

Athene: "Huh? I wanna come too!" I say as I start running out to follow him. "I have to make sure someone doesn't be a pervert."

Kim and Emily peered out the door. "Oh my god, she's so cute..."
Emily frowned. "Remember Kim..."
"Yeah, i know..."

Speedy
"Really?! So a little kid then?" Dangit...

Elli
I give the green guy, I think his name was... Beast Boy, a large grin "Thanks, mister...and...um...will you...be my friend? Pleaaasssee?" I had never had an honest to goodness friend before

Beast Boy: Ah, the cuteness! It's too much! "Uh, sure," I say. I wouldn't be surprised if that was her real power.

I hug his leg "And you promise you won't leave me all alone? Like mommy and daddy?"

"Jeez, Speedster be more happy about it," Kim scolds him and steps out, dragging Emily along. "I think you better be a goody-two-shoes with Speedy instead."
Emily glanced at him. "Sure..."

Beast Boy: Man, this girl's gonna be the death of me! I bend down to her level and smile because you'd have to be heartless to resist. I hold up my pinky. "Promise," I say. "Through good times and bad, you can always count on my to be your friend."

"Hey, don't leave us out," Kim teases. "What's your name, Missy?"

Sorry I'm taking so long, helping dad with computer

I pinky promise with him, my face lighting up "Thank you Mr. Beast" I said in a sing-song voice. Then I turn to another girl, grabbing onto Beast Boy's leg again "Elli Jane" I said shyly

Speedy
"Hey... she's like... adorable" I gasp "Like seriously, she's so tiny! And her voice makes you want to eat your own heart out!"

"Nice to meet you, Elli. I'm Emily, this is Kimberly."
"What can you do?" Kim asked her bright eyed.
Emily turns to Speedy. "Don't freak her out...Canary will have your head, like Arrowette said."

Beast Boy: "I know, right!" I say despite the deathe grip she has on my leg. "It's like...uh, nevermind." I was almost gonna say that it was like being hypnotized, but with that girl constantly doing that to me, I don't think now's the time to bring that up. "I swear, she could even make Batman shed a tear! Can you imagine how awesome that'd be?"

"Batman...cry? I'd pay to see that too," Kim laughed.

I turn to Kim, my gaze strangely focused for my age. "I can do lotsa stuff... like..." I looked thoughtful for a moment, then raised my palm. A swirl of water rose from it, then a wheel of fire. "I can also make stuff grow... and wind." Suddenly a gust of air blew through the hall, and my little face was scrunched in concentration

Emily paused. "Another Elemental then?" She smiles as she puts her hands together and then opens them to reveal an ice bird.
"Please..." Kim snaps her fingers and the bird goes up in flames, making a phoenix.

Elli
I look at them in awe "Whoa... can you teach me how to do that?" A tiny flower grew, it's vine wrapping around my arm, and I giggled "I can do that okay"

Kim nodded. "Having troubles?"
Emily laughed. "Don't worry, you'll get the knack. We had trouble in the beginning too."

Elli
I smiled, then had a thought "Will you guys be my friends to?"
