Tara: I shrugged. "One conversation, remember?"

Jace: "Yeah, but at least I'm trying to get you to talk again."

Tara: "Three or four years," I answered his earlier question, giving up.

Jace: "Is there a reason?"

Tara: "Didn't I already tell you? Goodness, you're a horrible listener."

Jace: "Actually, I listen, but I take the words and make them into what I want."

Tara: "Well that's weird."

Jace: I smirk. "Is it really?"

Tara: "Yes. Interpreting words is one thing, but changing them completely is just weird."

Jace: "Well then I interpret things differently."

Tara: "I guess that's not a bad thing. Having a different point of view is good."

Jace: I smile, seeing a sign for the park. "Is that a compliment?"

Tara: I smiled slightly. "Maybe."

Jace: I raise an eyebrow. "And is that a smile?"

Tara: My smile widened. "What do you think?"

Jace: I smile. "Yes!" I check outside. "And we're here."

Tara: "Cool," I slid out of the car when he stopped it. There were already a lot of people here, and there were different little food places scattered over the main field of the park.

Jace: I pull a blanket out from the trunk and a bottle of wine.

Tara: "Dude, that's illegal," I whispered, the smile wiped from my face.

Jace: I smirk. "Then I'll be the only one drinking it."

Tara: "No, I can't let you do something illegal, either!"

Jace: I smile. "You'll just have to stop me, then." I raise the bottle above my head and out of her reach, heading towards the park.

Tara: "You're about to ruin a night again," I warned, following him.

Jace: "What if I promised I won't drink it?"

Tara: "Then why do you have it?"
