Jace: I frown and start the engine, pulling out of the parking lot. "Are you sure?"

Tara: "Positive...why?"

Jace: I shake my head. "You're just not talking."

Tara: "Do I have to talk all the time to make you happy?"

Jace: "No, but talking would be nice, Tara."

Tara: "Sorry. What did you want to talk about?"

Jace: "I don't know. I just think if that we don't talk you'll find a way too..avoid me."

Tara: I blinked. "I don't want to avoid you anymore. I wouldn't have let you kiss me if I still did."

Jace: "But you might hole up again."

Tara: I sighed. "You'll just have to trust me."

Jace: I frown. "Do you trust me?"

Tara: I hesitated. "Yes..."

Jace: "Then I can trust you."

Tara: I nodded. "Okay." We pulled up to my house and I pecked his cheek. "I had a great time tonight...seriously, it was fun."

Jace: I smile. "You going to be okay?"

Tara: No. But I smiled back and nodded. "Yeah, I'll be fine...seeya." I slipped out of the car without another word, trudging up the path to the house.

Jace: I sigh and start the car again, pulling out of the driveway.

Tara: "There you are, you stupid bitch." My father growled drunkenly when I walked in. The lights were all out, had I forgotten to pay a bill?
