Crooks looked at his captor, expressionless. "Who th' hell are you, brave hero?" He said sarcastically.

Crook's guys paused, not sure whether to let the girl go or help their leader. Annaleah decided for them. Rushing with adreneline, she took her chance and punched her captor in the side of the head so hard that he yelped and dropped her. She shot out and stopped behind the new girl. She seemed trustworthy. After that, it seemed like time froze for a moment as everyone calculated what was happening.

Sanae
I spot them as the two try for Annaleah again. I land between them and beat them back with a strike. The new girl was obviously like me, though she wasn't a threat like the others.

Aloe: The girl was a head taller than me. Lovely. "Names Aloe, not that you'll have the chance to remember it." I said coldy drawing a line of blood from his neck when his goons advanced. "I've been tracking you jerks for a week now. You got something that belongs to a me If you don't mind I'll be retrieving it momentarily." I scanned the group, looking for the distinguishing marks of the ruffian I needed. There he was. Times up you little bastard. I swung Crooks into the wall and tackled the boy, rumaging through his pockets and extracting the long chain. Bingo.

Crooks watched Aloe, and let her be. He had more important matters to tend to than a chain at the moment. The gang split: some went for Aloe, some Canary and Firefly, all strong and all with practiced speed. Crooks then turned his attention to the girl with wings. Figures. Only in Luna. "Ah! Firefly, I knew you'd show sooner or later. Now if you'll kindly step aside." He prepared to fight.

Meanwhile, the boy that Aloe attacked launched at her, swept her legs out from underneath her so she fell to the ground. He drew his knife.

Sanae
I wasn't one for fighting. That didn't mean i didn't know how to. My wings flair and i take one of my longer feathers. Feathers on this planet may be fragile, but mine rivaled the steel of his knife and were just as sharp.

Aloe: I cried out as my head cracked against the ground and shoved my boot into the guys crotch as he ran at me. Hows that feel, yah little shit? As he toppled over in pain I tucked the watch into my jacket and gaped at the girl heading off with Crooks. She had wings, like an angel. Great. Now I was a looney. I kicked the guy who had downed me in the ribs as a thank you before becoming involved in disarming my attackers. I meticulously counted the fallen as I took them out, enjoying every danger packed moment.

Ooh...feathers as knives...ironic XD I will never think of feather pillows in the same way again.

P.S. What happens when her wings get wet? Hmm....*mischeivous smile*

Crooks cocked his head at the feather. Huh. Alright. He lunged at her and she caught his arm with it, and he winced. Blood dripped off his skin. That actually hurt. Could feathers be that sharp? But while she was busy fending off his blade he swept her off balance and pushed her head-first into a neaby canal. She fell in with a goosh of spraying water. Now...where'd that little bird go?

Aloe: Finished. I swept my bangs from my face and assesed the situation. I felt a flicker of annoyance. Where was Crooks? This job wasn't over till his head was underneath my boot blabbering for forgivness. I spotted him and made my way over haughtily. "Hun!" I shouted tossing a pebble at his head "Come get some sugar."

Crooks caught the pebble with one hand, and slowly looked over his shoulder at her. He held it up to eyes level and inspected it. "You can do better than this, I hope."

Sanae
The water was murky and stung my eyes. I go up to the surface and breathe in air again. I look around for a way back up as i go to the edge of the canal and grip a stone that protruded from the side, my wings too heavy to fly. They tuck in tight to my back to reduce the drag from the current.

Aloe: "Duh." I cocked an eye-brow and threw my thumb over my shoulder at the groaning possy behind me. I was pleased when a sliver of dismay cut across his face.

Oh, perfect, Sanae couldn't swim well. Annaleah took a breath before racing out of hiding, reaching her hand down to her. "Grab my hand!"

Sanae
I give a smile of thanks before reaching up, taking her hand. She pulls me up and i squeeze the water from my hair, my wings shaking out. I look over at Crooks, realizing that i'm now blocking his escape route. He was trapped between me and the girl.

Crooks's expression quickly turned into a smirk. "Great for you. But you don' honestly think that those are all of them, do you?" He pursed his lips, and the whistle echoed through the city. There would be more waiting at the ready. He cocked an eyebrow. "Well, le's get this over with."
