Maybrook Prep

Devany: I walked down the hall, pushing a curl out of my face and glancing up, my eyes careful. I wasn't the type to be caught staring. I heard someone to the side, talking to a girl. His accent caught me off guard. I glanced over and hid a smile, walking slower.

Paige: I saw his mean stare and shrank a little. "Um. Wh-wheres the gym?" I mumbled, looking at my shoes.

Dane: "I don't know, Love." I said, adding a shrug. She looked even more depressed. I smiled. "Just kidding, follow me." I passed another girl, who looked enticed. My smile brightened. Americans loved my accent. Especially the girls.

Paige: I sighed with relief as he began leading me to the gym- at least, I hope he was. "Thanks." I noticed his accent and saw a girl smile as he spoke. I rolled my eyes and scoffed. A bit too loudly...

Devany: He had a cocky look in his eyes and my smile dropped a bit. This time I directed my smile at the new looking girl.

Dane: There went the Maths room, and.... "Here it is," I said, nodding toward the large double doors. "What class is this?" I asked, genuinely intrigued.

Analyn: I came out of the bathroom after washing my face a million times. My so-called-urges always made me feel this way, especially after I first realized I had them. I went out into the hall, tears streaming down my face. I wiped them and started walking as if nothing happened.

Paige: the girl smiled at me, and I immediately knew: this was a genuine smile, not a mocking one. So I smiled back and gave her a wave. The boy asked me what class this was when we reached double doors. I furrowed my brow and looked up (he was way taller than me) at him skeptically. "The gym...?" I said slowly, making sure he understood.

Paige: I suddenly felt insecure... Why had he asked if it was obvious? Was he fooling with me? "Um... I... Ummm"

Devany: I grinned and nodded, walking past them, into the gym. I started towards the locker rooms and then got changed. Stupid uniform rules. Black shorts that were inappropiately short, black t-shirt, long sock that covered our knees, and then sneakers. I smiled as i walked out, sitting on the bleachers.

Dane: "Well, gotta get to Maths." I said, kind of awkward. "See ya, love." I walked away, stifiling a grin.

Paige: "Wait!" I cried out, not wanting the only boy who ever said a word to me in existence slip away so easily. "You don't seem like the person who tries to get to class early."

Ember: I stormed away from Jason and walked back to the tree i was in earlier. I pulled my laptop out of my bag and started hacking the schools network again. How did he get here?

Noel: My messanger bag almost slipped of my shoulder. i hiked it back up and started to wander through the school, hoping that being late a first time wouldn't get me a detention.

Analyn: I walked through hall, searching for someone, kicking up my pace. Then I bumped into someone.

Jason: "Woah!" I kept the girl from falling over. "Sorry bout that."

Ember: I groaned, not getting anything from my computer. Jumping down from the tree, i grabbed my guitar case and hit the halls, heading to my next class. I ran into a new guy and fell backwards. (noel)

Paige: I smile at the boy's comment and laughed. My mother-back when she wasn't mean- told me my laugh was like a fairie flitting across the ocean. I don't know what it meant, but i liked it. "I'm Paige," i said, my Bostonian accent drowning my words. I blushed deeply; i never liked how i spoke... So when we moved here, i worked my hardest to cover it up. Apparently, i failed. "You?"

Noel: I laughed and then stopped quickly, realizing most people found it rude. "Sorry about that." I said, helping the girl up. "I'm Noel." I added a bright smile.

Jason: I let go of her arms and took a step back. "So...sorry bout that again...I have a nasty habbit of running into cute girls." I grinned slightly to see her reaction.

Ember: "Amber Light...but most people here call me ember." I told him, brushing off my skirt and fixing my hat.

Paige: He was probably used to girls falling for him just for his accent. But not me. Not really, at least. Sure, it was charming, but... he was just a guy. When i shook his hand, i smiled. "Fun name." I looked behind me at the gy doors. Eh... I hated gym anyway.
