Tara: "Really? Because one of these is part of the thank you." I kissed him.

Jace: I pull her closer. "Well, that part is necessary," I murmur against her lips.

Tara: I wrapped my arms around his neck.

Someone cleared their throat and I froze mid-kiss.

"After you buy you may do that all you want..." The tour guide had come back. I blushed and pulled away from Jace.

"Thanks for the tour," I told the guide as we headed out.

Jace: I shrug and follow her.

Tara: I laughed. "Well that was awkward." I unlocked the doors to my car.

Jace: "Not really. When are you moving in? I have a housewarming gift."

Tara: "Should I be afraid? And when did they /say/ I could move in?"

Jace: "Nope. Not afraid at all. You can move in any time you want."

Tara: "I can probably be packed tonight, leave tomorrow. I don't have that much stuff. I'll probably have to go in the night, so my dad doesn't catch me..."

Jace: I frown. "I'll be here, then."

Tara: "What?"

Jace: I shrug. "With your present, of course."

Tara; "Oh, okay, that's cool. But how will you get here?" I asked as I backed out of the parking lot.

Jace: I frown. "That may be a problem," I muse.

Tara: "Well if you /really/ have to give me the present as soon as I get to the apartment, then I could pick you up on my way?"

Jace: "Then I'll have to hide it," I whisper, kissing her on the forehead.

Tara: "Sorry. I guess you can just wait until the next morning if you don't want to hide it. Or take the bus over."

Jace: I shrug. "It's a little big for a bus."

Tara: "Yeah, I'm reallllly afraid of what this present is now. Well, what do you suggest, then?"

Jace: "Well, I could just cover it up and make you blindfold yourself. I would drive, of course."

Tara: "Okay. So I'll drive to your house, then you'll blindfold me, then you'll drive to the new apartment?" I parked in his driveway.

Jace: I nod. "Crazy plan, right?"

*skips to the night Tara leaves*

Tara: My bag was small, really just an old backpack I had. I packed my journals, clothes, and locket into it. Along with my money, important papers, toiletries...
Yeah, I didn't own much. I tiptoed past my father's room, and he thankfully didn't wake up. I had parked the car down the street, so he wouldn't hear it roar to life.

I drove to Jace's house, and texted him to let him know I was here.

Jace: I carried the karaoke set carefully and set it in the back seat. "No peeking."

a karaoke set? lol

Tara: "I'm not." I slid over so I was in the passenger seat and Jace could drive.
