Tara: "Don't do what?" I asked, looking out the window.

Where are they?

Jace: "Don't go distant on me again. If you want to talk I'll do my best."

In the car, at his house, waiting for the tow truck.

Tara: "I don't want to talk." Going distant...here I went...

Ah. Right. I think I'm gonna add Gabriela in one scene sometimes... XD

Jace: "Then what do you want to do?"

Okay xD

Tara: "Wait for the tow truck."

Jace: I shake my head and open the door. "Come on. You've gotta be hungry."

Tara: "Nope." I said stubbornly.

Jace: I raise an eyebrow. "Well, come on. Eat for me, then."

Tara: "Why would I do something for /you/?" I snapped, then realized how mean that sounded. "Fine." I got out of the car.

Hmm...Gabriela could be cooking and then look at Tara and be like, "Well, I wasn't expecting you here." Good? XD

Jace: I followed her. "Good. See? Was that so hard?"

O.o Alright.

Tara: I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest, and silently following Jace.

Jace: I open the door. "So would you like...well, I can't cook much. What do you want?"

Tara: "You know how to cook EasyMac, don't you?" I half-joked. I was picky, and that sounded like one of the easy things he could make.

Jace: I turned towards the kitchen. "EasyMac requires--" I stopped, confused. "Mom?"

Tara: I stopped, arching an eyebrow. That wasn't his mom, was it?

Jace:

"Well, this is awkward.I didn't expect company," Gabriela says, coming out of the kitchen wearing my mom's apron(thingy).
I immediately hide Tara behind me. "What are you cooking there?"
She smiles. "Oh, nothing. This your girlfriend?"

Tara: My eyes widened to the size of saucers, oh shit. This was the girl who had the gun.

Jace: "What's it to you?"
She shrugs, grabbing a knife and cutting the onions. "I'm making spaghetti, if you wanted to know," she says nonchalantly. "Go ahead and sit down. I'll add an extra plate." She turns around, a threat in her eyes. "Unless, of course, you don't want to."
I swallow and usher Tara to the table.

Tara: For once I'm glad my parents insisted I have speed dials and hot keys. I fingered my phone in my back pocket as I sat down, hitting the 911 speed dial. Gabriela didn't seem to notice, but I wasn't sure. I pressed the mute button, so that I couldn't hear the operator, and they'd be forced to listen in. In case Gabriela said something scary.

Jace:
"Oh, right. My parents had this custom about not having phones at the table." She smiles. "Hand 'em over." Gabriela comes around with a little basket, knife still in hand.
I look over, seeing she's unplugged the home phone. Great. I pull my phone out of my pocket and toss it at her. "You know, it's not like we're not enjoying your company, but we were actually going out to eat, Gab."
She raises an eyebrow. "Well, I made dinner. And you're going to eat it."

Tara: "I can't stand spaghetti, I...uh, I can't eat wheat," I lied, reluctantly dumping my phone, and simultaneously canceling the phone call. I had this funny feeling the food was poisoned or something. Scary,

Jace: I raised an eyebrow but said.
"Oh well. You'll just have to eat the meatballs. More food for us." She winks at me.
"Gabriela...can you at least put the knife down?"
She laughs. "I have a strong, handsome boy who can overpower me, and I have a little girl who can call the police while you pin me to the ground. I don't think so, Jace. You're not getting off that easy."
I sigh. "At least let Tara go. She's not hungry." After a moment, I add, "And she can't eat wheat."
Gabriela sighs and motions with the knife. "You. In the bathroom. Come on."
I open my mouth to protest, then nod at Tara. She'd be safer in there.

Tara: I shivered, not wanting to leave Jace alone. But I gulped down the lump in my throat and nodded, following her to the bathroom. Maybe I'd find a way out, now that I wasn't under her hawk eyes.

Jace:

She stood in the doorway. "And don't think you're going to get out," she says. Then she locked the door and went back into the kitchen. "Now where were we?"
"You were about to force feed me spaghetti. It's a terrible death sentence."
Gabriela rolls eyes eyes and smirks. "You haven't lost any of your charm, have you? Still the jerk I fell in love with."
"I'm not sure stalking is the same thing as love, Gab."

Tara: I guess Gabriela didn't know about us calling the tow truck. A grin spread over my face. Only a matter of minutes and we'd be safe!
