Nate exhaled slowly, leaning up and cupping the back of her head. The moments seemed to go on forever, but behind him, someone cleared their throat. He jumped back, his eyes wide, to see madeline, with her hand on her hip. "So I leave you alone for 30 minutes and you two start making out?!" She asked, half in indignation and half in amusement.

Maddy shook her head, laughing. "It's about time," she said and Nates eyes widened even more. His eyes were clear, full of blue and gold swirls, long, dark lashes framing them.
