CHARACTER CHAT!!!!

Cricket's brow furrowed as he looked at the glinting metal. But how could he feel sorry? She'd hurt him. He'd almost died at her feet. She almost hurt Finn. If she hadn't recently; he had no idea where he was. Cricket looked away. "Are you done yet?" He repeated, and his voice had a slight edge.

Red Wing shook his head gently. "You will never leave." He stepped away, and looked down at Kim. That was a lot of blood. He said something over a tiny headset, and a few minutes later, men in white coats came to take her away.

Wisp
I catch the edge in his voice and look up suddenly. Confusion stays on my face, but my conditioning wins out. I'm suddenly there in front of him, his wrists in my hands strongly, a wicked smile across my face. "Not at all, little bug. You have to scream for me still."

Jess
They come and take her away. Part of me is relieved, part of me scared. All my mind sees is the what if's. Sure they'll heal her, but they have the chance to do so much more with her.

Cricket tugged against her grip, his mouth back in a warning snarl despite the knots tying in his stomach. He could hold in a scream for a long time. He'd had experience. "Try your best!"

Once they were gone, Red Wing turned back to Eere. "You never answered my quesiton."

Wisp
I study him for a long time, betraying nothing on my face. I hide my curiosity.

Jess
I narrow my eyes. "I don't plan to."

Cricket braced himself, but no blow came. His snarl faded just slightly and he let his hair mask his surprise. "Interesting 'best'."

"Shall I bring in another?" Red Wing asked nonchalently.

Wisp
I watch him quietly and wordlessly kiss him.

Jess
I hold my breath, glaring at him. Not going to get anything out of me. My head swims dizzily and spots fly across my vision.

Cricket just stood there in shock a moment, felt her against him distantly like it was in a dream. Then his eyes widened and he ripped away, chest pulsing silently with breath. Confusion was on his face.

Red Wing watched as the light in her eyes started to fade, and her head lulled. Ah, well. He would question one of the others.

Wisp
I giggle. It was nice to see the confusion on his face instead. My own frustrated me.

Jess
*Unconscious*

Cricket slowly looked at her, confusion turning to aggrivation. She was watching him with the type of amusement that he's seen little girls give their dolls. "Let me go, Wisp. I'm not your toy."

Wisp
I teleport away, back to my chair, my face blank again. I curl up on the chair, bringing my knees up. "I don't understand."

Cricket was still making sure he hadn't imagined what just happened. He studied her. It was like trying to explain things to a toddler. "Why did you kiss me?"

Wisp
"To see what it was like," i murmur, hiding into my knees. Blushing? I've never blushed before. It's odd.

Cricket looked away, feeling an overwhelming mixture of hatred and embarrassment and confusion. Now he /really/ felt like a toy. "Don't ever do that again. Please."

Wisp
I watch him quietly. "Please?" I ask, giggling. "Manners now?"

Cricket ran a hand through his hair. He only said please when he meant it. Which seemed to have been happening a lot lately. "Aye, if that's what you want t' call it. Just--" He cut himself off. "I mean it. Don't play with me. Is that why I'm 'ere? For fun?"

Wisp
For fun? Or not? "I...I don't know....I don't...understand..."

How could she not understand? "Am I 'ere because you needed some entertainment? Something t' waste your time and make you giggle? Cut me, question me, but don't play around. I'm just about tired of it."

Wisp
i stare at him after his outburst. Why did i do it? I feel panic rise in me when i find an answer. "I - I...want someone. I don't want t'be alone...because...I'm a failure. Like Ayakashi. I'm a failure."

"Well I'm sorry," he said sternly. "You've picked th' wrong guy for that." If she were anyone else he would have been sympathetic. But she was Wisp, and perhaps he was running out of sympathy to give. He sighed, his expression fading as he slid down a wall. "Are you done now?"

Wisp
I narrow my eyes at him, teleport. I grab his throat. "I won't be a failure. You cause these emotions, you need to go to get rid of them."

Cricket tried to get a breath in, but didn't struggle. He just looked at her. /I dare you./

I gnash my teeth frustrated. "Do something." I throw him away towards the opposite wall..
