Character Chats Are Fun

Stella:
I realize that the move Skip just made is a little threatening I growl, even though I am in my human form.

Lucy:
I just keep an eye on Skip and Teacup

Peter:
I slowly fall into a crouch ready to spring.

Dan:
"Cool it guys, I can handle them" I say, I just wanted them to seem less threatening I could not handle both aliens at the same time.

Skipper raises all four hands palm-first, to show she doesn't plan on being violent. Well, she raises three hands. The fourth is still holding Richter's.
"Sympathy is a strength," replies Skipper. "And a weakness. Justick taught me that as well. Sometimes the most merciful thing you can do is be merciless. I'm not sure what he meant when he said that, but I think he meant that killing someone like Richter without mercy is an act of mercy to the rest of the world. He comes out with some weird s**t sometimes."

Andrew: Maybe that's what he ment when you said about that miner...

Dan:
"Well for humans any feelings we have can be a weakness. Anger, fear, happyness, sympathy, but we have them anyway and not acting on them makes it worse"

"He says that every feeling is a weakness and a strength. He says you have to learn when it is one and when it is the other. I think he was trying to say that an emotion is a good thing when it helps you know what to do, but when you already know what to do and the emotion fights you, acting on it is a weakness," Skipper frowns. "I think that's what he means, anyway."

Conor:
"Yeah well I usually don't kill because when I do I am breaking a law in my religion and that means I go to hell" I say matter of factly

Andrew: But if no one had emotions wouldn't we all go crazy or something?
Ezra: Or something....

Dan:
"I think, if we didn't have emotions life would be meaningless, no love, no happiness, we would just be machines" I say.

Stella:
I nod agreeing with Dan and I move over next to him.

Ezra: I think so too...

(Regret needs to come back)

(He will...)

"Very true," replies Skipper. "But rats have emotions too. Even worms have emotions. All animals act on their emotions, except the sentient ones. As the few species capable of acting against both emotion and instinct, surely that is an argument that emotions should not be obeyed in every single instance? Sometimes my emotions tell me to punch the Noronel. This would never be the right thing to do. Sometimes my emotions tell me to save a drowning child. That is the right thing to do. So while emotions ar eimportant, thought is also important to moderate the emotions."

Alyx: I thought about it. I wasn't the most emotional person, sure, but I still had emotions.

Ezra: When my emotions tell me to punch Andrew. I think it's the right thing...
Liz: No it's not.
Andrew: Funny, my emotions say the same thing about you...

"Well, it's for you to decide what's right and wrong," Skipper gives another anatomically impossible shrug.

Alyx: I couldn't help laughing a little at Ezra's comment.

Dan:
"It seems I have lost this debate" I say grinning, "But, I still think it was wrong to cut off Richter's hand"

"Meh," replies Skipper. "If you hadn't told me not to kill him I'd be holding his head." She looks completely unfazed, and then suddenly blanches at the thought.

(Blanches?)

((Goes pale. Like the French word for white.))

Ezra: If it were anybody else....not counting them it would be diffrent but it's Andrew
Andrew: For example...Liz *hugs Liz* I would Never, Ever, EVER hurt her.

Dan:
I shrug and sit on the edge of the crater, "He should be fine anyway" I say.

Stella:
I sit next to Dan and rest my head on his shoulder.

Peter:
Lucy and I do the same as Dan and Stella.

Dan:
I gently push Stella's head off my shoulder, I stand and ask, "Well, what now?"

Andrew: I don't know.
Ezra: It's getting late *looks at sky* Do you guys have some place to go for the night?

"The stars will be my ceiling," replies Skipper. "And your atmosphere will be my roof."
