OKAY, NOW I JUST NEED TO FIGURE WHAT BADDIE TO BRING IN...

Marley: *turns around* *curses under breath* "Hey Spiro..?"

Spiro: "You got in trouble, didn't you?"

Marley: "Seems to be something I do a lot..."

Spiro: *nods, studying her* "What did you do?"

Marley: "Ticked a physio chick off, and now she basically wants to torture my brother and I to death. You know, same old same old"

Spiro: "You don't sound very afraid. I thought you humans hate torture."

Marley: "For one thing, not exactly... human. For another, we /do/, trust me." *shudders* "But there are a lot worse things then pain, I guess"

Spiro: *steps a little closer, like a little kid to a dog they think might bite* "Worse things?"

Marley: *nods slowly, stuffing hands in pockets* "Yup"

Quinn
*bursts in* "Why of course, little man! Kicking puppies and shaking babies and whatnot" *waves her hand in an etc movement*

Spiro: *smiles slowly* "Then why do people fear pain so much? One gunshot, one snap, and they're broken. What do you think is worse than pain?"

Quinn: *blinks wide eyed innocence* "Me? Why...Losing my Puddin would be the worst thing /ever/... I think i would /die/!"

Spades: "You again?!" *resists urge to bash head against wall*

Marley: *ignores the others* "Well... pain IS pretty bad, trust me, I should know. Sometimes it's unbearable, it drives people to do things they normally wouldn't. But what's worse, feeling pain, or never knowing what it is to feel happiness?" *looks pointedly at him* "Guess you wouldn't understand*

Spades: "Hey, I'll make a mental note of that one, Quinn"

Cricket: *smiles slightly at Marley's little speech, has been eavesdropping the whole time, leaning against a wall with his hair in his face*

Spiro: *looks slightly confused* "I...guess I wouldn't." *pause* "Why can't I?"

Marley: "I don't think you /can't/, Spiro. It's just you're too afraid of the pain of punishment" *smiles sadly* "And like I said, pain isn't the /worst/ thing"

Spiro: *shudders at what could be worse than pain* "That's impossible."

Quinn: *glares, sticks her tongue out at Spades* "You ain't ever getting him, playing cards. Not ever."

Marley: "Guess you'll /never/ know who's right on this one, hmm? Ooh, eternal curiosity. That sucks, mate"

Spades: *rolls eyes*

Spiro: "I am not curious about your idiotic views on pain!" *shoots bullets of pain through her mind*

Marley: *falls to knees, clutching head* "Guess... not...but you /will/ be... Spiro"

Spiro: *in a rage, focuses harder and makes the 'pain' intensify* "What could be worse?"

Marley: *bites back a scream* "Ignorance! Ignorance of everything around you! Of life, of happiness, of music..."

Spiro: "Disobediance is worse!" *spikes the pain more* "Disobediance and punishment! You stupid girl, you don't know anything!"

Ayakashi: *lounges in the air* "I have to disagree, newbie. Freedom is pretty sweet."
