Brok: I shrugged. "I don't know. It kind of sucks. Sometimes I miss her. But I guess I'm glad we've met new people."

(HMM last name -- Wilkes. middle name...dunno yet )

Dakota: I stopped rocking on my heels as my face kind of fell. "You..."/guess/ you're glad that you've met new people"?" He /guessed/? Meaning he wasn't completely sold on the idea. Ouch.

(Brea Wilkes. Good last name. Thinking of middle names.)

Brok: I sighed. "I don't know, okay? We were best friends for a really, really long time." Plus it was hard to get over her looking at my brother so much.

(I got the last name idea from an Eloise movie, dunno if you've ever read those books or seen the movies, they're more for little kids. xD

Dakota: I crossed my arms over my chest, but more so that my heart wouldn't fall out than anything else. Not because it would actually fall out, I knew that wasn't possible, but it felt like it. "Oh," I said quietly.

(Hmm. Feel like the name should be familiar. Dude I steal last names from books/movies all the time.)
(Can't think right now, helping brother w/ algebra.)

Brok: I glanced over at her. "She's still around a lot," I explained. "I don't think about her like that anymore. It's the friendship part that I miss."

(Ahaha same)

Dakota: "Suuuure it is," I mumbled, plopping down on the grass. I just felt sort of weak, because thinking that maybe Brok didn't like me as much as I liked him just...made my head spin a little, now trying to think of whether he was thinking of Fiona the whole time.

(I meant "feels." bad grammar yuck.)

Brok: I was such an idiot. "Actually, I haven't thought about her much at all recently," I said out loud. "Come to think about it. Cool. Trey's always telling me to get over her."

Dakota: "Recently? Brok, how long have we been dating? At /least/ a month, but it's been more. You've...you've been thinking of her the whole time, haven't you? Haven't you?" She said the second quietly. "And if he's still telling you to get over her, then I guess you're not over her yet."

Brok: "Kota, I don't remember the last time I thought about her." I frowned. "And he was telling me to get over her only ever since we broke up. I always tell him I'm already over her, though, so I don't think he believes me yet."

(oh great, a year of learning useless math)

Dakota: I ripped a tuft of grass from the lawn, and broke apart each blade. "And why should /I/ believe you?"

Brok: I sighed. "Kota..."

Dakota: "You didn't answer the question."

Brok: "I can't tell you that. You have to decide it yourself."

Dakota: I shook my head and sighed, not looking up at him, just continuing to tear apart the grass.

Brok: I tore some grass up too.

(lol just like Timm and his flowers.)

Dakota: "I understand if you're not...completely over her...I guess." I wouldn't know, I never got attached to my exes. "But...if she gave you the chance...right now, like, today...would you go back to her?"
