What Is Left After?

Aimery: I roll my eyes and pull away, opening the door to the hotel.

Jelsa Mepsey wrote:Jelsa: "Oh," I said. I leaned into him possessively. "I see."

I put my arm around Jelsa, and place my hand on her hip, giving it an affectionate squeeze.
"How d'you come to be here, anyway?" I ask Susan. "If that's not too personal a question."

Wayne: "Awesome. We're here."

Jelsa: I smiled at Peter and waited for Susan to answer.

Aimery: I stop in midstep, glancing between the new person and Peter and Jelsa. "I want an explanation," I say after a moment.

Jelsa: "From her?" I asked, pointing since I wasn't quite sure what else I could do to clarify it.

Aimery: I take a deep breath. "We can't just go recruiting people."

"Of what?" I ask, ruffling Jelsa's hair. "Susan, this is Aimery. She's not local. Aimery, this is Susan. She's not short."
I frown. "Or did you want an explanation of this?" I indicate the fact that the only clothing I am wearing on my torso is a long coat, and the fact that Jelsa is wearing a Golden Daemon t-shirt about ten sizes too big for her.

Jelsa: I giggled when he played with my hair. "Yeah, there's a lot of confusing things going on here."

(YESH! Conflict. God I love...how I act?)

Aimery: I frown, waving them away. "I don't care about what you're wearing. Why is she here?"

Jelsa: I frowned. "Me or the other girl?"

"Because I decided it was a reasonable decision," I say. I swing my axe up slowly so it rests across my shoulders. "I hope that's okay."

Aimery: I chew on the inside of my cheek. "The other girl. And I don't see what hacking me to pieces will do. It will just make you a murderer," I snap.

Jelsa: I jumped slightly at the axe. At least he wouldn't use it on me.

"Hacking you to pieces?" My eyes widen in mock horror. "Whatever gave you that idea!? That's disgusting. I wouldn't dream of doing something that awful unless I felt it was absolutely necessary."

Jelsa: That was definitely comforting. It was nice to know I was protected by someone much bigger than me.

Aimery: I laugh. "I'm not going to try anything. I'm not armed." I roll my eyes, my smile disappearing. "How can you trust strangers anymore?"

Susan
"Hey, uh, hellooo!" I said, waving. "Still exist, here. I mean, unless I've suddenly turned invisible, and I'm just unaware. At any rate, I found myself here 'cause I'm a wanderer by nature. I woulda kept goin' if Peter hadn't accosted me in th' street, swingin' about that axe of 'is. Wasn't even my idea ta come ta this place, ta be honest. He led me after I proved that I wasn't a flesh-eater."

Aimery: I give her the sweetest smile I could. "Oh, honey, you're invisible."

Susan
"Ah," I answered. "Well, at least that clears up one thing around here."

Aimery: I give her a one syllable laugh. "That doesn't mean it makes the least bit of sense."

Susan
"Does anythin' around here make sense anymore?" I asked. "Not just here-here, but the world in general."

Aimery: I give her an unamused look and walk over to the wall, sitting down against it. "Just shut up, okay?"

Susan
"Well, that hostility just came outta nowhere," I commented, raising an eyebrow. "What's the matter?" I challenged. "Someone shit in your cereal this mornin'?"

Gah. I've been waiting for a little fight...

Aimery: I roll my eyes. "No, some bitch appeared out of nowhere and asked to stay here. And I don't eat cereal."
