What Is Left After?

Aimery: I raise an eyebrow. "Or you'll bludgeon me?"

I prod her in the stomach with the haft of my axe.
"I'm glad we understand one another."

Aimery: "I'd rather be bludgeoned than apologize for my self-preservation. Besides, what's it to you how I conduct myself around other people?"

Susan
Man, what a bitch, I thought as I continued walking. I mean, here I thought I might actually get some human companionship after all this time! But noooo. Like hell I was going to stick around there with that banshee, even if it did mean that I'd at least be with other people. Stupid humans. Stupid gregarious natures.
All I heard now was the tk, tk, tk of my footsteps, the sounds of voices in contention having faded.

Jelsa: "Um...guys?" I said, not sure if I should step in or something. "Can we try to not kill each other?"

Aimery: "In my defense I never had intentions of killing someone."

Jelsa: "Well...you two are kinda arguing a lot..."

"I probably wouldn't kill you," I admit. "But it certainly is tempting. Now if you'll excuse me, one of us has to side with our fellow humans."
I turn and jog after Susan.
"Hey! Come back! You don't need to listen to Aimery, her sense of self-preservation outweighs her sense of decency."
I walk back to Aimery.
"I really don't understand why you're so upset about her. I'm probably more of a threat than she is, and yet you've tolerated my presence thus far."

Jelsa: I sighed. "Almost everyone is dead anyway," I whispered. "So we might as well try to welcome people who've lost people."

Aimery: "It's a self preservation thing again. She's more of a threat than she is a help, while you could fend people off in an attack. She's a burden when you're not."

Jelsa: I sighed. It was hard to know who to trust in a situation like this. "What are we going to do now, then?"

Aimery: "Wait and see what your little addition does."

Jelsa: I shrugged. "Yeah, okay," I said.

Susan
"Oi, you!" I snapped to Aimery. "I happen ta know jujitsu! I can so fend people off in an attack. An' who the hell said I'd be a threat an' a burden ta you? I can help out! Just 'cause I'm a stranger ta you doesn't automatically mean I'm gonna kill you in yer sleep!"

Aimery: I roll my eyes at her. "It was a caution."

"Honestly, I reckon she'd be the one doing the fending off of potential threats. I'm more the intimidation/heavy-lifting part of this little gang."
I shrug.
"I'm just saying."

Jelsa: I nodded. "Yeah. You're basically the only guy here, except Wayne. Aimery, where did he go?"

(lol I keep losing Wayne.)

Aimery: I shrug. "I don't know," I say, looking at Peter. "What do guys do when other people are fighting, besides join in?"

Jelsa: "Well...I try to stay out..."

"If I absolutely can't join in, then I shout from the sidelines."
I give Susan an appraising look. "I would challenge you to a friendly sparring match, but I'd end up sitting on my arse pretty sharpish. The only martial art I know is the art of bombast. Plus some police disarm/stun techniques."

Aimery: I roll my eyes and stand up. "Well, that didn't help at all." I start towards the hallway, looking for Wayne.

((Me: Who the heck is this "Copper Rain" person? *checks FF* It says that Copper Rain made the latest post, but that was Sweet! ...Oh, wait a minute...))

"Like what?" I asked Peter. "An' I could teach ya some more disabling techniques if ya want."
