C. D. - character development

"AH!" I yelped, covering my ears and shutting my eyes tightly. "So...loud..."
It was my marking. My sight, smell, and hearing were much better than the average demon's, let alone the average human's.

"Sorry." said Evan, looking concerend.

"What's going on?" said Cassie, comming to after fainting. She looked at Evan who was a hundred feet tall and screamed.

"Owowowowowow!" I exclaimed. "Don't do that! My ears are really sensitive..." I shook my head quickly. "But basically, a magic elixir made your buddy there really big. That's all."

"He's my boyfriend...." Cassie said quietly. "Who made it?!" she said, her eyes blazing with fury.

"That guy," I answered, pointed to Ezra. "The one with the contraband magic. Feel free to tear him limb from limb."

"It's not contraband." huffed Ezra.

"YOU?!" said Cassie angery. "YOU DID THIS?!"

"Um...yeah..but it was an accident....and I have can fix it." said Ezra, rummaging through his pockets. "Uhhh oh..."

"UH OH?!" screamed Cassie. "You better be able to fix it!"

"I try....I'll have to make another one."

Cassie grabbed Ezra's shirt collar, "You will do. Not try. Do."

"Yes ma'am," gulped Ezra.

"I'd draw you a magic circle," I said, "but size alteration spells aren't my forté. We don't want him coming out wrong! So watcha need, mortal? I can help you find it, whatever it is."

"Uh...witch hazel, blue berries, mint, water, lavender, lemon, thyme, rosemary, and sage." said Ezra.

"Oh," I said. "Well that's not hard! You can buy that stuff in stores. Or we could just raid people's herb gardens for some of the ingredients."

"Exactly! It just takes a TON of work to prepare," said Ezra. He looked up at Evan, "You may be like that for a while."

"What sort of preparation does it require?" I asked him. "I could help out with that, too. Geometric magic doesn't usually warrant materials for spells, but I still know how to prepare ingredients with magic properties."

"A lot of chopping, dicing, slicing...that sorta thing and some magic. It needs to brew for a long time."

"Oh, this is priceless," murmurs Mirochai-Neptuna. "A few more years and I won't even want to wipe you out any more. It's too much fun watching the suffering you inflict upon each other."

"I'm more afraid Cassie'll kill me," muttered Ezra.

"Oh, that would be wonderful!" simpers Mirochai-Neptuna.

"No, it won't!"

"I thought it was a good idea..." mumbled Andrew.

Mirochai-Neptuna raises an eyebrow. "That really depends on your point of view. To me, your race are a pestilence upon the earth. I don't really care what you do to each other."

"It's not right to kill...I just hate him," shrugged Andrew. "I'd never wish that he may actually die....but I don't mean half the things I say most of the time..."

"That's a shame," says Mirochai-Neptuna. "I was hoping for bloodshed."

"That doesn't mean I don't like to pound him to a pulp," smirked Andrew.

"Oh brilliant! Would you care to demonstrate?"

"Love to," said Andrew. He then slammed Ezra into the nearest tree.

"Would you mind if I joined in?" Mirochai-Neptuna bears her long teeth.

"Sure as long as he doesn't die...then Liz'll kill me..."

"Oh, that takes all the fun out of it."
