C. D. - character development

Aria
"What do you mean by that?" I asked him, genuinely confused, my head tipped to the side.

Andrew looked annoyed, he ignored her. "I lived in a slum my intire life. The people were more humain then you lot are. We made an honest living."

Aria
"Well whoop-dee-frickin'-doo," I answered flatly. "Y'see, that isn't really possible here in Heaven. The whole place is a slum. The only people living comfortably here are the nobilty and the royal family. Everybody else? Screwed over. Also, I'm pretty tired of hearing your voice." I turned to the mercenary I'd spoken to before. "Gag him, too, will you?"

"Same here, but we didn't sell people." said Andrew. "So what are you planning on doing with me?"

Kraf Ventrix sees the one with the wings. Obviously, with the superior power of flight, this one is the leader. Because, as every Norlan knows, might = right. Ventrix taps him on the shoulder.
"You are now all subjects of the Norlan Empire. This shouldn't drastically alter your day-to-day existence unless you should attempt to overthrow Norla supremacy. In that case, you may be forced to part with valuable items, such as your lives..."
Kraf Ventrix peters out as he sees the spell book.
"What are you doing?" he asks.

"Me?" asked Ezra surprised.

Aria
"Sell you to a wealthy angel who wants a servant," I answered with a dismissive wave.

Leslie
"We're going to use a spell that will take us to Heaven," I told the random airship guy.

(the reason I ssaved the vials is because you said they would need a way to sneek in or out. it may be easier to fit some in her pocket)

"And what will I do then?" asked Andrew.

((Actually, it would be easier to just use glamours and disguse everyone as angels.))

Aria
"Duh!" I said with a laugh. "Serve the angel, of course!"

"Like what would I do? Surely angels wouldn't..."

Aria
"Surely angels wouldn't what?" I asked him in a syrupy voice.

Andrew was growing frightened, he masked his fear though. He was learning to do that well.

Aria
"I'm waiting, little mortal boy," I cooed. "What wouldn't angels do?"

"I'M NOT LITTLE!!!! I WAS ON EARTH FOR NINTEY-NINE YEARS!!!!"

Aria
I cracked up.
"You hear that?" I asked my comrades, who were also laughing. "He thinks that just 'cause he's been around for almost a century, it makes him not little!" I returned my focus to the mortal, grinning. "You're a cute little thing, you are. Tell me, do you know how long I've been around? And you still didn't answer my question about angels."

"Seeing I'm not one who am I to judge?" Andrew smiled, but inside he was filled with fear.

Aria
"Now you're beginning to get it," I said with a smirk. "There's not a lot that we won't do. There's not a lot that anyone wouldn't do in the name of survival. You think you mortals are better than us? You're wrong. We're both twisted and crooked."

"I've seen enough to know that," he said truthfully.

Aria
"You know, you're not half stupid," I told him.

"Thanks, and I had a third class education."

Aria
"That's more than loads of young angels can say for themselves these days," I said with a sigh.

"That's terrible. I really didn't get to finish mine either. Why are all the big whigs so oblivious to poverty?"

"Why?" asks Ventrix, frowning.

"Cause they took Andrew...but it's not like I want him back." said Ezra.

"So... you are planning an attack?" asks Ventrix. His eyes light up. "Is there a chance of glorious death in battle? Surrounded by the corpses of slain enemies?"
He stops for a moment.
"Sorry. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kraf Ventrix, Kraf of this division of the First Norlan, and your aforementioned new ruler."
