C. D. - character development

Ezra facepalmed again. More people, he thought to himself, and cursed himself for asking. "Let's get this over with," he sighed, flipping to the page.

Leslie
"Whoah, whoah, hold on!" I said. "We have to apply glamours first. We'll need pointed ears, glowing skin, and wings. The glow can be any color, and the wings can be either pure white or tinted a certain shade. I'd apply the glamours myself, but again, demon magic. They'd know in a heartbeat. Also, I'll need some kind of scarf, hood, veil, or whatever to hide my face, and gloves to hide my hands. And once more, I want to impress upon you the seriousness of this undertaking. You may never return. Do you still want to go?"

"Yes," said Liz flatly.

"I have a spell for that but wings may be a difficulty."said Ezra thoughtfully.

"Oh," said Andrew, glad they hadn't his slip up.

Leslie
"I could create a spell for you for the wings if you don't have one. Or, if you do have one, just imperfect, I could check the parameters and fill in the gaps."

Aria
"So who didn't you want to meet?" I asked dryly, barely curious. I just liked messing with this kid.

"Could you do the glow?"

Leslie
"Sure," I said. I spied a nearby stick, picked it up, and started drawing lines in the dirt. "Lesse..." I mumbled under my breath. "And this rune for that part...and this spell word...hm..." I scratched my head, then drew another figure. "That look good to you?" I asked him.

"No one," said Andrew, looking away.

"Looks good to me." nodded Ezra.

"Pah," snorts Ventrix. "The greater the risk the greater the honour. I will take no glamour."
He notices David's renewed ferocity, and disarms him with a contemptuous flick of his sabre. "And that's how experience and cunning beats youth and strength."

"You'll die." said Ezra flatly.

"YOU THINK I FEAR DEATH?" roars Ventrix. "A Kraf fears NOTHING! Except an ignoble death."

"See the thing is Andrew's not worth dying over, he's already dead."

"Any human soul is worth dying for," says Ventrix with a thin smile.

"No...really he's not....he's an idoit."

"HE IS NOT!" said Liz defensivly.

"I said 'any', and I hold by it."

"Andrew wouldn't want that though," said Liz.

"On the other hand, I consider a glorious death in battle against insurmountable odds to be a noble death, so it's a win-win situation."
Kraf ventrix shrugs. "Either way, I come out on top."

Liz shook her head, "He doesn't like other people to suffer for him."

Leslie
"Look, buddy," I told the airship dude, "you may not want to wear a disguise to protect yourself, and I can respect that, but you're not coming if you don't wear it. It's not that it's merely a liability to you; if any cloudy were to see humans traveling with supposed other cloudies, they'd know right away that the supposed other cloudies were impostors. And then all the mortals would be sold into slavery, and the demon would be sent to a prisoner of war camp. So wear the glamour, or you're not coming to Heaven with us. Tell you what, though: if our covers are compromised, you can just open fire on any cloudy you like. But not until then."

Aria
"It's clearly someone," I said with a mocking laugh.

David:
Angry I glare at Ventrix. I rip a knife from its sheathe and fling it at Ventrix's head. "YOU ARE A MONSTER!" I yell. I tackle him and we fall to the ground.

"I still have these," smirked Ezra, holding up the vials.

Andrew glared at the angels, "Don't you have any respect for the dead?"

Kraf Ventrix rolls over so that he is on top, and rains blows on David with his gauntleted fists. He stands up, holding David aloft.
"Who said I'd be travelling with you?" Ventrix snarls at Leslie. "You get me there, and I provide the diversion. I do not need to be around you for very long at all."

David:
I continue trying to hit him and then I mutter, "Hetenrei". His clothes catch fire. I laugh as I watch the smoke and flames engulf his face. The fire rushes along his arm and catches me on fire as well, but as I mentioned earlier, I am fire proof.

(I said David has a limited knowledge of magic, that means he knows only the four basic elemental spells. Earth, wind, fire, and water)

Ezra grimaced at the smell of burning flesh. "Finito," he whispered, and the flames sputtered out. "WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!!!" he shouted.

Leslie
"Fine, mortal!" I snapped at Ventrix. "Do whatever you want! And Ezra's right; we don't have time for this. Ezra, please apply the glamours."

Aria
"Respect for--! Hahaha!" I laughed. "Of course not! You mortals are so weak, so fragile. And dying? I think it's funny that you can die! So weak..."

"They say the things that don't kill you only make you stronger, I think it's the opposite." glared Andrew.

Ezra turned to Leslie, picturing Aria and mixing Leslie's features in. "Angelus trafero," he muttered. Leslie's features shifted, creating pointy ears, sharp eyes, and glittery skin.
