Broken and Bruised

Daniel: "That would be best, I'm not very good at understanding directions." I smiled trying to set her at ease.

Aribella - I glanced back nervously at my house, "I'm not sure if that's a good idea," I said. "My mom is expecting me home soon," I lied, I had no mom. I had no one.

Daniel: I smiled again, "Surely she would approve of you helping a poor stranger. If I make this meeting with my friends they swore it would change everything." Not for me I added silently in my head. I pulled on the natural charm of my kind and smiled again.

Aribella - I felt bad, maybe he really did have to meet with his friends. It was probably important.... "Well... alright, it's not too far away." I gave in.

Daniel: I smiled again adding some graditude into the mix. "Thank you I really apprciate this. I've been walking these roads for half an hour."

Aribella- I gave a small smile back to him as we headed for the park, "Really? Usually it's easy getting around in cities like this one."

Daniel: "Yes, but I have a horrible sense of direction." I walked beside her leting my gaze seem to be on her but fall beyond to the dark streets. I didn't see anyone else although I knew that most were out tonight.

Aribella - "Oh," I said quietly. I felt odd. I felt a mix of fear and curiousity. Curiousity... it killed the cat, maybe it was about to kill me.

Daniel: I felt her unease and smiled, "I must thank you once again for your generous help." The scent hit me, vampires, yes the girl did know the direction to the park. Soon I would meet with the others who'd finished their hunting. "What's your name, I would love to know who I owe my graditude to."

Aribella - I didn't see the harm in telling him my name, "Aribella." I told him, "and no I don't go by Bella or Ari or any other names. My name is Aribella. There isn't any reason to shorten it." I said giving my usual rant. I hated nicknames.

Daniel: I smiled hearing an old pet peev. "Nice to meet you Aribella, my name's Daniel." We drew closer to the gates of the park.

Aribella - I smiled back at him lightly, "Nice to meet you to."

Daniel: I smiled and paused on the sidewalk. Placing a goofy grin on my face I gave her a bow. "My lady, the pleasure of your escort has improved my evening dearly," I glanced up through my eyelashes and hoped that she would feel the same as most human females did, flattered. "This is my stop, would you like to meet my friends?" I pushed my charm further to see if I could make it out weigh her common sense.

Aribella - I knew I shouldn't, but I nodded a bit dazed, "Sure."

Daniel: I grinned and led her into the park.

Aribella - I took a deep breath as he led me into the park. I didn't know why I agreed to meet his friends. This was dangerous. This was stupid. I was the one who was always warned about the dangerous strangers hanging around my neighborhood. It seemed like every day some girl my age went missing or was found dead. So why was I following a stranger willingly into an almost deserted park to meet his friends? It was probably because of his charm, his good looks. Of course, that just made it more suspicious...

Daniel: I glanced around for the others, seeing no one I kept walking. Hopefully some would arrive soon. Maybe I would just take her to the hideout and not wait for them. It's not like I had to, they were below my attention, but it was a better idea for now to stay on their good side. Too many murders in an amount of time and they might get worried, although everyone knew it was me who killed them. I sighed and glanced at Aribella out of the corner of my eyes, maybe I should take care of her before we met up. Dragging an unconsis girl around wasn't fun....

"There you are!" I called to Daniel as I stepped out of the shadows, feigning sincerity. According to plan. "We were wondering when you'd get here! The others actually went off to get cell reception; we were gonna try to call you. I stayed here in case you showed up on your own..but it looks like someone brought you." I turned to the human. "Thank you," I said with a smile.
