Sound of Madness

Cici nodded and waved to him as he walked off.
"hey, hottie, you and your friend wanna come play?" Some dude shouted over to me, showing me the volley ball. I shrugged and got to my feet and half jogged over to the guy.
"Sure. Raz, wanna play!?" I called over to him.

Raz looked up, his nose slightly wrinkled. "Nah," he said, and continued walking toward the clear, blue green water. "Have fun," he winked.

Cici rolled her eyes at him and got into position to play. She played for half an hour or so before the others had to leave. She jogged over to Raz, and waded over to him, careful to night get her hair wet.

Raz was out way over his head and barely made out Cici past the waves. He had found a sandbar out there and he was sitting on it, smiling to himself.

Cici groaned softly when she saw how far out Raz was. Taking a deep breath, she plundged into teh cold water and swam easily over to him. "Why the heck would you go so far out?" She asked, laughing slightly when she finally reached him.

"Because I like the water," Raz grinned, pushing some hair out of her eyes. The water had been warm to him the whole time, like the ocean always was.

Cici laughed lightly and nodded. "Water is nice." She agreed and tredded the water as a wave hit.

"Why don't you sit on the sandbar?" Raz asked, cocking his head a little, patting the sand that jutted out. There was about two feet of water that covered the bar.

Cici shrugged and sat down next to him. "thanks for bringing me down to the beach. Its great down here."

"No problem," Raz said with a slight shrug. "It's cool hanging out with you," he said.

"Aw thanks!" Cici giggled softly, and looked over to him before looking back to the shore. "It turned out to be a great day."

Raz smiled. "Why end it now?" He asked, looking at the sun, which had a couple more hours before it would set. "Maybe you'd like to come to dinner with me?" He asked carefully.

Cici thought for a couple seconds and rubbed the back of her neck nervously. "Just a dinner?" She wanted to clarify. He didnt want anything more then that from her, did he? She wanst ready to go back into a relationship, essecially with someone from the group.

(Trying this again. Avery, which character of yours did you say was free?)

Raz looked disturbed for a minute. "Yeah, wh- OH. You thought I was going to ask you out on a date! No, no, no, no... I'm not into you like that," he chuckled. "Just dinner," he said, for emphasis.

(Kai... He's sitting in the kitchen, eating plain bread.)

Nikkie: I walked into the kitchen and sat next to a guy who was eating bread.

Cici probably should have been let down as he said he didnt like her that way, but it actually relieved her. "Cool. Dinner sounds great then." She laughed lightly. She played with the sand for a bit before picking up a handful and drizzling the wet mushy substance on his shoulder to see his reaction.

(oh, btw, everyone knows eachother in the group. They are all best friends thats why it would be awkward if any of them dated.)

(oh...does that mean they're not allowed to date if we want them to?)

(no, they still are, but they just have to keep it a secret from everyone else...i should be explained on the first page.)

Kai nodded his head at Nikkie in a makeshift greeting. He smiled a tiny bit and finished off the last slice. So much for his sandwich. He cracked his knuckles and yawned. "Hey," he said, with a half smile.

Nikkie: I smiled. "Hey!" I said. "It's okay if I eat some bread too, right?" I was starving. My stomach grumbled as I stared at the plate of food.

"Yeah, if you want," Kai shrugged. "The bread's over there," he said, jerking his chin toward the bread. Nikkie seemed a little hyper for his tastes, so sometimes, he felt like he was with a child.

Nikkie: I giggled. "Thanks," I said, taking a piece and nibbling on it. I didn't want to look like a pig. "So, having fun here?" I asked.
