"Just thought I would you that. Tell me once you figure out what you think happened between us." Derek slid out of her room and closed the door behind her.

Max: I sighed. "Let's just say it wasn't a natural death."

Carly rolled her eyes. "You already know what I think," She said through the door, knowing he couldn't have walked out of earshot yet.

Dana bit her lip. "I'm sorry," She said quietly, looking down at her cat and petting it. "I can kind of relate. My boyfriend I'm running from? He tried to kill me."

(actually, in the book he succeeds... O.O)

Max: My eyes widened. "He actually tried to kill you?" At least my brother and my dad hadn't tried to kill me. Then again, maybe that was because they didn't want to lose their punching bag.

"Think on it for a bit. Then retell me, just so we are on the same page." he called back to her. He leaned against the wall of the hall way looking at her door.

(Mmhm. O_O)

Dana nodded, still looking down at the cat.

"Think on it?" Carly scoffed, wanting to bang her head against a wall. "Obviously it wasn't a fling to me, either."

Max: I sucked in a deep breath. I wasn't the only one who had been hurt, and I wasn't the only one that was hurting. "I'm really sorry about that."

Dana shrugged and picked up the cat, cradling it. "It's fine. He doesn't know where I am anymore, so it should be okay." But /no one/ knew where I was. Not even Dakota.

Max: I sighed. "I'm guessing that's a god and a bad thing at the same time?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't hear that. Can you repeat it a bit louder?" Derek smirked and waited for her to repeat it.

(D: DON'T. EVER.)

"Yeah, good guess." Dana sighed. "I can't even contact my best friend."

Asshole, Carly thought. "It wasn't a fling to me either," She repeated.

Max: Neither could I. Well, I could, but I wasn't going to. Besides, she hated me now. "Do you think she's looking for you?" That was probably a bad question. Hm.

"I'm not sure...maybe." Dana shrugged.

(OHHHH. Both of theirs? O.o WRITE IT!!!)

Max: I sighed. "Sorry. That probably wasn't a good question."

(Buttttt Dakota mayyy have a love interest. >_> But maybe not, because it would be too weird since I'm so used to Brokota)

"Why wasn't it a good question?" Dana's brow furrowed.

The smirk on Dereks face grew wider. "Good." and with that he walked back to his room.
