Wishing stars

Ryder chuckled and shook his head. "I can wait if you want." He said as he kissed her again.

"What if we went over later this evening?" Lucia suggested. "I could use the time to think about everything. Especially my new title." She paused and smiled. "Fiancee," he mumbled to herself. She was thrilled and excited and nervous and anxious and most of all, happy.

Ryder chuckled and nodded. "Alright, that's fine with me." he said as he laid back down with her. "What would you like to do today?"

Show off my ring. Gush. Do something that a newly engaged girl would do, Lucia thought to herself. "I dunno. Let's go to the park," she said with a small smile.

Ryder chuckled. "alright." He said with a smile, although inside he was letting out a large sigh at the fact that they had to get dressed and weren't spending the day in bed.

Lucia smiled, kissing him quickly and then looked at her outfit now and the dress she had been wearing earlier. "Maybe we should stop to my house really quick," she said with a hopeful smile.

Ryder gave a nod. "We can do that," he chuckled as he watched her.

Lucia smiled and thanked him, slipping into her dress and then they headed out, getting into his car and starting toward her house. She couldn't keep her eyes offthe gold ring on her finger, the diamond seeming like a constant smile.

Ryder chuckled as he watched her leave in his car and shook his head and walked back inside. He decided he needed a shower and went to his bathroom

Lucia got home and took a quick shower, then pulled on a pair of skinny jeans and a knit top. She nearly rushed out the door and went back tohis house without a trace of being there. She got back to his house and walked inside, sitting on his couch.

Ryder walked out, his towel wrapped around his waist and his hair all spiked, water still dripping down his body as he brushed his teeth. He stopped when he saw Lucia, blinked a few times, and smiled. "You were fast." He chuckled as he finished going over to the sterio and turning on some music.

"I said really quick," Lucia said with a smile, and fingered the ring on her slim finger. It was a perfect fit and a nice color. It brought a little tickle to her stomach everytime it gleamed. She looked at Ryder and smiled softly, her eyes full of love.

Ryder smiled widely. "Well, just give me a minute." He chuckled and walked back to the bathroom, the cloth on his wrist was gone.

Lucia nodded and crossed her legs, smiling. Something about his house felt
more comforting than her house when she was alone. She took a deep breath and noticed the clean smell in the house. Hers always smelled like food, which was comforting, wasn't nice all the time.

Ryder came back ten minutes later, dressed in his usual, the cloth still gone. "Ready?" He asked as he ruffled his wet hair.

Lucia nodded, noticing the cloth from his wrist was gone and then stood, kissing him. "So ready," she said. They park wasn't that far, so she knew they would probably walk, which made her happy.

Ryder smiled and kissed her back before taking her hand, and opening the door for her. He followed her out, shutting the door behind them, and shoved his free hand into his pocket as they started down the sidewalk, the sun bright as the leaves were turning colors and falling from the trees.

(For some reason, with the foliage, I picture them in New England, lol)

Lucia smiled up at him and took a deep breath, the smell of fall all around her. It was her favorite season, until the first freeze. She hated the cold, but was looking forward to it this year, just because she had someone to spend it with.

Ryder watched the leaves fall and took a deep breath. "Lucia..can I ask you a question?"

Lucia heard the hesitation in his voice and looked up. "Yeah?" She asked, cocking her head a little, leaves falling all around them.

"Lucia.." Ryder took a deep breath and ran his free hand through his hair, rubbing the back of his head. "What would you say if I joined the army?"

A jolt of fear chilled Lucia and she looked away, biting her lip. "I'd say that I's support any decision you made," she said, trying not to let her fear show. "Is that what you want to do?" She asked.

Ryder glanced at her and shrugged. "It's an idea." He said as he watched her. "I won't, if you don't want me to. I just thought..it might be a starting block. They'd pay for my school, and it might help me figure out what I want to do."

Lucia felt guilty, after. "I don't want to keep you from doin what you want. The idea just scares me," she admitted. "Just don't let me get i'm the way of what you want to do," she said.

Ryder wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close, kissing the top of her head. "Don't worry Cia, it's only a thought. I haven't decided for certain yet."
