Daggerhorn..

Aidan nodded and leaned back against a post, studying the people who walked by "who's your brother?"

Sariah looked at Lark. "Lark, I'm not going to be feeling any better for the next nine months." She stated and then took a deep breath and wrapped her arms around him, burrying her face in his chest.

James smiled and chuckled, craddling her. "Well, you're the most beautiful pregnant woman I've ever chanced to meet." he murmered and kissed her cheek gently.

Artemis swatted at him weakly, "pish posh" her stomach growled and she scowled at it

James sat up and smiled at her, kissing her nose. "I'll go get you something to eat." He slipped out of the bed and got dressed, the cold hit him, making his bones ache, but that was about all it could do. The weather was getting warmer and was starting to not have such a terrible effect on him.

Artemis scrambled after him "no, wait. I'll come with you" she insisted, slipping back on her thick frock.

Lark held her, UNsure of what to say. "What can I do to help?" He asked finally.

Sariah muttered something into his chest, making sure to keep it so he couldn't hear, and took a deep breath and streached on her tip toes and kissed his cheek, then went into the tent and continued to clean up.

James smiled and watched her, holding his hand out to her.

Artemis slipped into his hands, blinking a few times to push back the dark spots in her vision as she allowed him to lead her.
They had not been outside together in.. well months. She smiled and weakly sunk into his embrace. She liked it

James kept his arm wrapped around her shoulder as they walked through the camp. It felt wonderful to be outside, even if it did cause a deep ache in his bones. "What are you hungry for?"

Lark folllowed her so he could try and help.

Artemis stomach clenched and growled all at once. she frowned and looked around, suddenly craving cake. And chocolate cake at that "chocolate cake?"

James smiled and led her to the baked good. "chocolate cake." he said taking a sheckle from his pocket and giving it to the woman as she handed a large piece of cake to Artemis.

Sariah jumped as she picked up some clothes and looked down at her stomach, her hand moving to it. Had it just...kicked her?

Lark was at her side in a second, "What's wrong?" His face was panicked.

Artemis accepted it eagerly and sat down on a hay bale, too tired to remain standing. She handed him a fork of his own and began to dig in, happily chewing the gooey wonder

James chuckled as he watched.

Sariah looked up at him. "I think it just kicked me."

Larks eyes got wide, "Really?"

Sariah took his hand and put it to her stomach, pressed it down gently, and there it was. the kicking. Not just a small kick, but a very unhappy series of kicking as if telling him to quit hogging the space.

Lark grinned and put his other hand on as well, "Hello." He told the baby, his eyes sparkling.

The kicking stopped for a minute, and then something pressed against his hand, as if it was a small hand, meeting his. Sariah watched, beaming happily.

Lark's grin got as big as possible. "Is, is that its hand?" He knelt down infront of her. "Hello little one, do you know who I am?" He couldn't help but talk to it.

Artemis polished off her plate and licked her fingers clean, pleased to have defyed her stomach ...or so she thought. Her stomach heaved and ejected it's contents. Chocolate does not taste good the second time around

The hand pressed against her stomach again, the skin streaching thin enough that you could feel the outline of it. It made a fist as if trying to hold his finger. Sariah's hands went to her mouth, she had a large smile on her face, and tears were starting to roll down her cheeks.

James looked at her and held her hair back. "I'd ask if you were alright, but i'm afraid you migh hit me." His face was lined with worry and concern.

Lark couldn't help the wonder that came to his eyes as he ran his hand over the fist. It was their baby. There were no words....

Artemis grimaced and heaved once more before managing to catch her breath and whip away the vomit "I really don't feel good" she murmured, the dark spots returning in her vision

James lifted her up gently, careful not to jostle her, and took her back to the tent, laying her on the bed. "You're going to just rest."

Sariah looked down at him, trying to get her tears to stop, a smile on her face. "I think it knows who you are." she said reasuringly (sp?).
